About this listen

Penelope Huntingdon-Stewart, highly successful clean-eating food vlogger and owner of the website Penny’s Kitchen, is looking for a new direction for her brand. At least that’s what she tells herself when she retreats to Axedale to record a new web series and write a cookbook. That sounds so much better than damage control after her only live, on-screen interview ends in an oh-so-public epileptic seizure.

Farmer Sam McQuade is immediately attracted to Penelope, but the ultra femme and high maintenance city girl seems way out of her league. When Penelope struggles to get her health on track, Quade insists on being her knight in shining armor, much to Penelope’s displeasure. Quade is annoyingly good-looking, not to mention kindhearted, and falling for her would be so easy. If only it didn’t force Penelope to face the secrets she’s hidden from everyone. Can love alone bring a complex city girl and a simple rural farmer together?

Trust is the theme here

Wooing the Farmer starts out with little rich girl Penelope who has her walls up. This story will resonate with many women as trust is the theme. As we move through the book, we learn why Penelope has her walls up and why the farmer is so good for her. I like how the author explains why and where trust is needed in many different situations. This book not only teaches us how to be trustworthy but also why this topic is so important in a relationship. The sex scenes are hot, too!

Excellent Audio!

I loved Wooing the Farmer. I had already read the book. That did not detract at all from the enjoyment of the audio. So great to be back in Axedale with everyone. Nicola Victoria Vincent does her usual superb job with the narration.

What a great romance

This is an adorable and perfect addition to the Axedale romance series. I highly recommend you get them all and then book out some serious time to just bask in the happiness that they will bring you.

If you love a sweet romance with a meant to be together theme then this is for you. Opposites attract, farmer and city girl find love in a small town.

Hear that? It’s the sound of my happy sigh

City Girl and Country Farmer

Sam McQuade, a farmer, has been waiting for the chance for love and a family. When Penelope Huntington-Stewart of Penny’s Kitchen moves to Axedale, Sam is immediately smitten. A marvelous story and performance of a country romance. Recommend.

Great, per usual!

I can’t seem to get enough of books by Jenny Frame. I really do love the way they read, or are read to me (audible). I will always be a huge fan.

Much better!!

This one was so much better than the previous one in the series. It’s right up there with “Courting the Countess” and might have even exceeded it a little for me. I just absolutely adore Quade, and I was very happy to see her woo and win the girl of her dreams. Like Quade, I was taken with Penny right away. I think the reader was meant to misjudge her as a spoiled elitist at first, but from the beginning I liked her for her spunk and her determination not to let her epilepsy rule her life. Their romance is sweet and surprisingly deep. It’s also probably the least complicated romance of all three books in the series, which was a nice change from the tortured indecision the last two couples cycled through again and again. Wonderful conclusion to the series!

P.S. to Nicola Victoria Vincent - please call me and read me the Apple Terms & Conditions. Or a phone book. Or literally anything you want to. Your voice and talent is astounding.

Winning combination. Great story

Loved the story and narration. Another combined production with Jenny Frame and Nicola Victoria Vincent. Frames character development always resonates in some way personally. Definitely recommend the whole series.

A lovely slow burn

I love Frame’s paranormal books so, I thought I’d try a traditional romance. This slow burn was such a lovely read I’m purchasing the rest in the series. A few highlights that make this book stand out from the rest are inclusion of characters with chronic illness/disabilities, butch/femme dynamics, and mild references to kink outside of MC’s in an every day life kind of way.

Third is a charm

I love all three books, and this one is left a little open, I wander if there is a fourth one coming soon or not. I just got it yesterday and could not wait to start it. Now it is done... leaving me with the test for more.
