About this listen

The master fantasist’s thrilling conclusion to The Darkwar Saga

To save the future of both empires, the powerful sorcerer Pug and the Conclave of Shadows have journeyed into the darkest of terrain: the Dasati home world. There, traveling undercover among the bloodthirsty and ruthless Dasati, they have encountered Bek, a disturbing young stranger whose secrets may prove more important than Pug knows. And back in the realm of Midkemia, as the young warriors Tad, Zane, and their friends protect the Kingdom from raiders, Miranda finds herself a prisoner of the Dasati, and, even more ominously, of Pug’s nemesis, the evil sorcerer Leso Varen. And Pug finds himself allied with a friend thought long dead, a friend whose remarkable powers will be sorely needed in the battle to come...a battle that will bring them all together in one great struggle for the future and very soul of Midkemia.

Was a great listen

Read a view reviews prior to listening to the book. Lot of negative thoughts. I personally liked it. I’m a long time fan of Feist
Laughed quite a bit at some of the characters, overall just enjoyed .

Peter Joyce is a Joke

How did this narrator get so far with this series? His mis pronouncement of names and words makes me want to delete the audio book completely. If it wasn't for the great story line I would have quit listening after the first book he did by Feist.

Midkemia

These books are just the best fantasy series I have ever read, especially considering I stumbled upon them by chance.

Crydee saga is moving towards closure

While I enjoyed this book, I feel there were certain plot holes. Overall, I enjoyed this book but you can see the writing on the wall as the author closes out this universe in the next coming books I imagine.

Where Feist books begin to decline in quality

Story begins to contradict itself. Among the most glaring is being told Kasper has never met an elf when he went to Elvendar in the previous trilogy and Miranda knowing about Pug's messages from the future.

Jim Dasher story line is a lazy attempt to resurrect Jimmy the Hand. Feist's books begin to take a sharp decline from this point until Magicians End. Contradictions and characters being in two places at once become more and more glaring. Poor writing and editing.

Wrapping up some pieces

Many questions answered but much remains to decipher. The closing of one door and the opening of another
