About this listen

Political satire as deeper truth: Donald Trump's presidential memoir, as recorded by two world-renowned Trump scholars and experts on greatness generally.

"I have the best words, beautiful words, as everybody has been talking and talking about for a long time. Also? The best sentences and, what do you call them, paragraphs. My previous books were great and sold extremely, unbelievably well - even the ones by dishonest, disgusting so-called journalists. But those writers didn't understand Trump, because, quite frankly, they were major losers. People say if you want it done right you have to do it yourself, even when 'it' is a 'memoir'. So every word of this book was written by me, using a special advanced word processing system during the many, many nights I've been forced to stay alone in the White House - only me, just me, trust me, nobody helped. And it's all 100 percent true, so true - people are already saying it may be the truest book ever published. Enjoy."

Until Donald Trump publishes the ultimate account of his entire four or eight or one and a half years in the White House, the definitive chronicle will be You Can't Spell America Without Me: The Really Tremendous Inside Story of My Fantastic First Year as President Donald J. Trump. Trump was elected because he was the most frank presidential candidate in history, a man eager to tell the unvarnished truth about others' flaws and tout his own amazing excellence. Now he levels his refreshingly compulsive, un-PC candor at his landslide election victory as well as his role as commander in chief and leader of the free world.

There are intimate, powerful, mind-boggling revelations throughout. You are there with him during his private encounters with world leaders, a few of whom he does not insult. You are there at the genius Oval Office strategy sessions with his advisers. You are there in his White House bedroom as he crafts the predawn Twitter pronouncements that rock the world. And, of course, you are there on the golf course as Trump attempts to manage the burdens of his office.

President Trump explains each of the historic decisions that have already made America great again and how he always triumphs over the fake news media. You'll learn what he really thinks of his cabinet members and top aides not related to him, of the first lady and the first daughter and the additional three or four Trump children.

You Can't Spell America Without Me is presented by America's foremost Trump scholar, Kurt Andersen, as well as America's foremost mediocre Trump impersonator, Alec Baldwin.

Baldwin plus others

Alec Baldwin only reads about a third of the book, however, the other narrators are fine. Pretty entertaining.

Wise words "Something, something, something"!

I am not a SNL watcher however decided to buy this book on a whim. Regardless of one's politics in order to enjoy this I think that putting them aside is recommended. There were several chapters that I laughed so hard that my coffee would come shooting out of my nose.

Some of the humor is sarcastic, some is cruel but some is just down right hilarious. Here we have a President who has a a General that he likes, really likes. He calls him General 'Sissy! This POTUS makes agreements with world leaders with a 'pinky swear'! He finds the office of Commander in Chief a little boring so he likes to keep it exciting by writing songs as well as running the country.

This President also defers from alcohol but prefers a snack of bacon and Ovaltine (YUCK!) Whereas his son in law, Jared enjoys carrots and tea. Talking of Jarod, this President has become well versed in all Jewish traditions. One of which is Shaboom which runs for a twenty-four hour period every week starting sundown on Friday night. He calls it Jewish prison! Of course who can forget 'Shamozal, the day of Atonement!

This Commander takes supplements so that he can have those 'special' Superman feelings.

How anyone cannot think that this book is not funny I just do not know! Thought that it was very clever and true escapism. Worth the read.

Disappointed #sad

sorry couldn’t help, but add that #sad.

The description reads multiple narrators, but i didnt think 4/7 of it would not be Alec. When it wasn’t Alec it was not as entertaining for me. He’s a brilliant actor, comedian, and narrator so my opinion was highly influenced by him not narrating more.

If you’re going to download please read the fine print!

Not narrated by Alec Baldwin entirely

He narrates the first few chapters, then says he is tired and only comes back the last couple of chapters. In the remainder of the book, two men who get progressively worse at Trump voices narrate.

Excellent effort

It must have been difficult for Alec Baldwin to be able to do the voice of Donald Trump for nearly the entirety of this book but he is indeed a master of it.
Kurt Anderson’s narrative truly highlights many of the flaws in #45. Hopefully this is the last we see or hear about Donald Trump going forward

Baldwin should have performed all of this book!

The other narrators tried, but this material only works if read by a Trump impersonator.

Better as a novela. Middle dragged but good payoff

Baldwin voices the book for maybe half the book. Middle is boring, picks up later.
