I've just finished the last volume in this set that Audible offers as of today 1-24-20. I will be watching for more on the new mysteries lists. Read these vols in sequence is my suggestion. Another suggestion- I play
Spider to get through the parts that make these novels feel boggy in some parts. * All are written much better than anything I could write * And* all are better than anything in video/ streaming/TV.*

Disappointing

As usual Keeble does a brilliant job, but he really had his work cut out for him in this 4th DS Cody instalment. The back story of the clowns threaded through the series really came to the fore ...and there was far too much of it. Boring, unbelievable & the very blatant attempt to connect it with the parallel investigation was beyond ridiculous. Sorry David Jackson, I was a fan of this series but won’t be tuning in to a 5th book.

Time to change up the story

This fourth book in the Nathan Cody series becomes tedious. Although the ending has an okay twist, the characters’ actions and reactions are predictable. Sarah is a great character and brings some life to the story. Was actually glad when it was over.

Another Great Nathan Cody Story!

Davis Jackson's Nathan Cody is always involved in self destruction, a murder case that is very sinister, and on the edge of
his own death.

That may sound like any other detective novel, but Cody's inner struggle after a horrific incident draws you in quick.
And the narrators are impeccable!

The Cody series is very hard to turn off once you start to listen.

Great story!

Really great story. I just wished it would’ve continued and there was a better ending.
Hopefully there will be a part two or a series. :)

Scared the living daylights out of me!

I loved the book! Narration is superb!! The other Nathan Cody books bother me when I get tired and I always smile because I know where it comes from - David Jackson! But THIS book will make me scared to get up at night. If I see a little shadow or bump into something Waldo will make an appearance in my consciousness.....

Read it and love it, too!

This series must be read in order!

I'm delighted to have stumbled across David Jackson's Detective Nathan Cody series just a couple of months ago, and devoured the first 4 books in record time. These are gory (*very*), gritty and delightfully wicked British police stories, with excruciatingly flawed heroes and multilayered villains. I tried listening to various other books in between, because I do like to mix it up with classics and nonfiction, but I couldn't stop wondering what Cody was up to! Jonathan Keeble is a masterful narrator, and handles the Liverpool and Scouse accents in a generous and kindly manner, so that no American ear is left behind.

Liked it less than previous stories in this series

We’ve always known that Waldo was there, as a threat, but this story makes him into an omniscient Moriarty-type character. A bit too much, I thought. Also missed Megan. She’s there, but very much a minimal player. Worried that the next installment will just be the same. Narration excellent, as always.
