I knew Zanna's gift would be a tear jerker, but listened anyway. As many other Orson Scott Card characters, Zanna and her family will be in my heart like old friends.

This short work is an amazing celebration of family life with all of its joys and sorrows. If you think of Orson Scott Card solely as a science fiction writer you have been missing something of his depth and breadth but this piece is exceptional even for him. Wow!

I'm used to Orson Scott Card science fiction and thought this might be some exotic fiction. When I realized it wasn't what I was expecting I couldn't tell how I felt at first but I really enjoyed the story.
