About this listen

She’s lost her ship, lost her job, lost her reputation, and is on the run from the law.

Jez is a damn good pilot, and she’s always worked alone. Until she got picked up for smuggling, that is. Now she’s an ex-con and ex-employed, and there are plenty of people with old scores to settle. So when a mysterious stranger in a battered pilot's coat comes to her with an offer that sounds too good to be true, she reluctantly agrees to listen.

All she has to do is fly one little job.

Four ex-convicts. One charismatic mastermind. And the most dangerous heist the System has ever seen.

Firefly meets Ocean’s Eleven in R.M. Olson’s fast-paced, kick-ass, wickedly fun space opera series, The Ungovernable. Buy today and join the crew.

Fantastic first of the series!

Great story! A bit Oceans 11, a bit The Italian Job, all awesome. The book is paced well, and the narrator nails it the whole way through.

Great adventure and the perfect start to a series.

This book brings an “Ender’s Game” suspense, and an adventure of a bunch of non-similar aged people, all with a grudge on someone. All too poor or weak to fix the situation they had left behind. This book is well enough written that if their were never another, that would be fine.

One of my favorite series!

You've got a heist, morally grey characters, humor, and found family... in space. I was so excited when I saw that R. M. Olson had audiobook versions of this series!
I love this series and our flawed but loveable characters... especially Jez our ridiculous/funny/annoying/wickedly talented pilot.

Did not catch my attention

Bought this one from an ad for the series on FB. Really tried to get into it and listen, but found myself bored and drifting off constantly. Seems like something I might have liked as a kid, maybe a good YA sci-fi series, but gave up halfway through (which I almost never do with books). Also I don’t like this particular narrator, particularly doing male voices (she sounded familiar, maybe from the Fifty Shades books?). Not terrible, and I’m sure some people will love it, but not for me.
