i love this author and again he delivered! This is book 4 in a series that seems to get better with each book. Hearinng the narrarator read Butch is amazing! He sounds exactly how I imagined him to sound. He also does an amazing job with the other charactets. It is amazing how he can make his voice sound different with each character!

I can not wait for the next book in this series to come to audible! Love me some Dan, Brian and Butch!

Loved it

While Lt Chun and his SEALS where out on a training mission the rest of the world went nuts and now the SEALs have to pick up the pieces and make things right, at least for now in their part of the world. It is up to them, it is what they do, it is what they were trained to do.

This is not your typical zombie book and it is also not your typical SEAL team six book, it is a survival book, and a do what is right book despite what you are told, and that is what the military is supposed to be, not following blindly. I think James Wallace has caught the Navy spirit well in this book and I loved it through and through, I was cheering for those SEALs the whole way, as there is no shortage of action or suspense with this team. As for his narrator he could not have picked a better one than S. W. Salzman who is an awesome voice actor, he does great voices for all the characters and makes you believe you are a part of the team, there with the guys. I loved this audio and hope I can go back and get the rest soon.

Aces Mortis comes alive

With the great story from James Wallace and Mr. Salzman lending his voice you will be wanting to listen over and over. I know I was and did. Aces Mortis takes us on a different path from the other Zombie Theorems but it's just as good as the rest of the series. Come take a ride with the group from Aces Mortis and find out what all the rest of us know. The book is awesome and the audible version brings it life. Mr. Salzman does it again with such talent.

Deeper understanding of the bigger picture

At the end of the previous book in the series, we were introduced to some new characters in Seal Team 6. This book allows us a greater perspective of the world James Wallace created by letting us follow Seal Team 6's experiences up to the point that their group meets up with Dan and his SWAT family. Although I'm anxiously waiting to find out what happens next with Dan's group, I truly loved gaining a better understanding of the Seal Team. I now feel like I know these characters, their personalities, strengths and weaknesses. So when I read the next book, I am confident that it will bring a deeper understanding of the story and a stronger connection with all the characters. If you enjoy post-apocalyptic fiction, strong military men and women and characters with deep camaraderie, you will love this series!

Great story

I was drawn into the story from the beginning and didn't want it to end. The military aspects of the novel were done very well and the characters all popped. The narrator was very good at keeping you involved and bringing the story to life. I was given a copy of this audio in return for an unbiased review.

Military fiction with the backdrop of zombies

I'm coming into this series having skipped the first three books.

This story details a group of SEALs during a zombie apocalypse. It is very heavy on the military aspect, and light on the zombie and survival aspects. It has more to deal with a shadowy, counter-government organization.

I couldn't really tell how long zombies have been in existence in this world - I'm assuming it was one of the details I missed in the earlier books.

I was a little surprised at how good the morale is for military members during a time when the dead walk and kill the living. The characters can be fairly flippant while being in danger, or in a firefight, or after losing a member.

At some points, the dialog between characters gets a little cheesy, but overall I enjoyed the story.

If you like descriptions of guns, tactics, and military hierarchy, you'll like this book. In spite of my tastes running more toward personal survival day-to-day, I'll probably be checking out the rest of the series I skipped soon.

I didn't notice any problems with the narrator, and he excels at giving each character their own voice and personality.

Fast paced action!

This is volume four of the Zombie Theorem series, but it can certainly stand on its own. Seal Team Six is sent to rescue their brothers from a zombie horde at the Coronado Airbase. Secretary of Defense has one plan in mind supporting the Culling Initiative. General Richards has the opposing view of supporting the endangered civilians along with the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. Which side do you think Seal Team Six will support? The Seal Team members are great characters and the action is non-stop from start to finish. Now I’ll have to invest in the previous volumes to get the whole picture of this series. Recommended reading to be sure. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
