• WEIGHT LOSS 101: 3 Hacks When You Don't Know Where to Start

    Struggling to start because you're overwhelmed, over worked and worried to fail again? I'd like to offer you a bit of encouragement today, may I?

    There are 3 things you can do today to build a weight loss habit:

    1. Journal and Pray, let God lead you to where He needs you to go. Aligning your plans and goals with Him are KEY to success.

    2. ONE Healthy meal a day. ONE. I've worked with women for over 7 years who try to go all in and it NEVER works, life happens, and we wonder why we ever tried again, I mean, who do we think we are!? Oh, hey girl, you're a daughter of the KING, THAT'S who you are, and we don't give up except to let Him lead. Ya got me?

    3. Find a workout you enjoy! But you must find ONE, if you don't, it's just stubbornness, not that you don't like any. God created our bodies to move, not to sit, you don't have to lift heavy or run (I wouldn't run if someone was chasing me) bur you do need to strengthen your body and your heart so you can run the race He's planned for you! You are WORTH the struggle!

    Oof, this one was convicting for me. I spent years finding ways to avoid exercise, I am so beyond grateful that God kept calling me to lean into His fruits instead of my own lack of control.

    There is ONE Secret, although I actually share a couple that work together. The secret is a time audit. Every week in the Weight Loss Mentorship my clients send their time blocking calendar for the week, it helps them to stay consistent in where God is leading and many are even scheduling social media time, instead of just scrolling away. I was on a call with a client today and her camera shut off, we chucked that her social time limit kicked her off, PROUD COACH MOMENT!

  • Avoid These Energy Zappers and How to BOOST Energy in 3 Easy Steps

    Are you struggling with finding energy to do anything through the day? Are you finding yourself stuck without a plan because you're exhausted and completely unmotivated?

    Here are 3 things that could be zapping your energy stores and 3 steps to take to replenish and increase your energy today!

    1. Avoid Sugar
    2. Stop skipping breakfast
    3. You may be sitting too much

    How to boost energy:
    1. Drink water with a dash of salt each morning before your coffee, it's a natural detox and a wakeup for your body! I drink 30 ounces before I'm allowed one sip of coffee, it took me a month to build this habit but so worthwhile.
    2. Eat within one hour of waking up. A lot of people intermittent fast, but to be honest, you fast when you sleep so if you're getting the right amount of rest, you're fasting already. You need a healthy balance of protein and carbs for energy and to stay full, this is the KEY to a healthy energy boost every day.
    3. MOVE! A body at rest tends to stay at rest and a body in motion tends to stay in motion. So, let's move! God gave us the ability to move for a purpose. If you get up for 5 minutes and keep going, you'll continue to go. Trust your body to go beyond what your mind limits her.

  • 4 Motivational Mindset Shifts to Get Working Out FAST

    Are you ready to implement a workout routine but don't know where to start? Have you built up thoughts in your mind about hating exercise? What if you could retrain your mind to actually enjoy exercise beyond a weight loss perspective?

    When we operate in a heart posture of exercise and movement, removing the expectation of weight loss and focus on a biblical perspective, this is what we get.

    1. I GET to. I get to move, I get to honor God with my body, I GET to strengthen my muscles and heart.

    2. Movement is an act of WORSHIP and when we operate in this heart posture instead of abs, we GET to move because God has blessed us with the body and ability to do so.

    3. We are His temple. Jesus died for us, He took on every sin we would ever commit, ALL the people of the world who have ever, or will ever exist. I think we can honor Him by moving and strengthening our body, we need to for emotional and physical health so we can operate in the Great Commission as we're told.

    4. Obedience > outcome. We move and exercise and strengthen because His word tells us to care for our bodies, to eat and move because we can as a way to worship Him. When we focus on obedience to the Holy Spirit instead of some lame vanity marker, we can truly operate in His power instead of our own.

  • "I'm exercising and not losing weight!" The ONE mistake you're probably making

    Oh freedom! Let it ring! What if I told you that you can have your cake AND eat it too? Because guess what, you can! The more weight you have to lose, the MORE fuel (food) you need. Our bodies require a minimum of 1500-1800 calories at REST, so if you walk one step a day or chase kids or move in any kind of way, you're already starving yourself trying to survive on 900-1200 calories, it isn't sustainable, OR healthy, you're actually reversing your progress.

    Aim for 25-30 grams of protein PER meal, 4-5 meals a day, in Month 2-Module 2 of the 3 Month Mindset Mentorship, we'll take a deep dive into your nutrition and create a specific to you macro plan that will leaving you fullllll and satisfied, are you ready? The link to join is below!

    Are you struggling with cravings? What do you crave? Do you know what God says about your cravings and food choices? Do you believe He wants to free you from this?

    Spoiler alert. He does.

    There are so many scriptures about your body, cravings and choices. Learning to pray and let God help you through these cravings is key to moving past them. Why are you craving? Did you know that sugar is 10 times more addictive than heroine? The more sugar you eat, the more you crave. It takes about 3 days for your body to rid itself of those cravings. Pray for strength, spend time each morning praying and ask God for strength. He will provide. Keep grapes, apples and in season fruits in your pantry to help you move through these. Fruit is a natural sugar and carb which are great for energy and satisfy your sweet tooth.

    Your body craves what you feed it, feed her fruit, feed her love, feed her positive words and not shame. You're not too far gone; God wants to take this from you!

  • How Healing Trauma From Rape and Infertility Helped Me Reach My 90 Pound Weight Loss Goal

    He uses our pain for purpose, He doesn't cause it but He does allow it, in hopes that we'll give Him our mess. I remember the moment my assault came back and how embarassed and humiliated I was. He took it, I had to give it up a few times, but He took it and has allowed me to share my story to hopefully encourage others.

    I hope you've never experienced trauma, but if you have, He can use it. It's hard, it's messy, you feel people judge you and some might. Let them. Your story is meant to glorify the Father and He will bring you the people that need to hear it so they can heal. We've all struggled, we all have hurts and habits and hangups we wish we didn't, but thankfully, we have a Heavenly Father that will take our mess and turn it into something beautiful.

    Thank you Father for loving us in our mess, for never leaving us even when we walk away from you. We know You're always there, waiting for us to come home. Thank you for never forsaking us. We love You, we praise you, amen.
