  • ep19: Telling you EVERYTHING about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum
    May 9 2024

I do believe in such a thing as TMI, but not when it comes to pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experiences. There is a time and place to let it all out and the time is now and the place is here.

In this episode we are talking about all the things that NO ONE tells you about around pregnancy. We cover cravings, bodily functions, advocating for ourselves, epidurals, postpartum sex, and more.

This is all based on my own experiences so if you feel I missed anything, or if you have any questions, reach out at sarahmgcarter@gmail.com. You can also send me a message on instagram or tiktok at sarah.g.carter and shesdoingalright.

  • The B*tch Is Back: talking postpartum depression, anxiety, and rage
    May 2 2024

In episode 18, Sarah talks about her dealing with postpartum depression, postpartum anxiety, and rage for the second time. As a mom of two with the second baby just being out of the newborn stage, things have been a lot.

a lot of change and a lot less time to deal with it.

We talk about protein, vitamins, sleep, and share an honest and raw look at motherhood when it's not as fun as you hoped it would be.

  • Ep17: Things I hated about my sheltered childhood that I WILL be doing with my own kids.
    Jun 15 2023

EP 17. Welcome back to "She's Doing Alright." In this episode, Sarah talks about growing up in a sheltered household, the rules and habits of the family, and which ones she will be bringing into her own mothering journey.

    -Reading aloud.

The Read Aloud Family is the book I mentioned.

    -no sleep-overs

Might change with time, but definitely not under 10 and after that, not at anyone else’s house.

-Computer in the living room, no private screen time.

-Family conversations about what content we consumed mostly CDs/

3 paragraph essays were required for any CD we wanted to buy. Had to include a brief background on the artist, a breakdown of their lyrics, and how we think their music will positively impact our lives.
