    Joining via zoom in Tulare Country in California is Gilbert Rios. Gilbert is a fellow Devil Dogs and served 4 years in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) with two deployments to Afghanistan. After his time in the USMC, he became a Deputy Sheriff with Kings County Sheriff's Office in California.

    In this podcast, Gilbert discussed some of the challenges out military members face with deployments and being away from their loved ones, losing friends to suicide, the negative stigma/culture in our community, and the transition out of the military and law enforcement.

    We appreciate Gilbert sharing the tragic story of losing his mentor and friend, Thomas, who died by suicide while Gilbert was on the phone with him trying to get him to comply with local police.

    Furthermore, Egan runs First Wellness Health where he helps stressed moms, dads, and first responds with psoriatic arthritis, psoriasis, and weight management.
