"The Land That Time Forgot" is a fantasy novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The novel is set in World War I and opens with a thermos off the coast of Greenland. It contains a story, the narrative of Bowen J. Tyler, an American passenger on a ship sunk in the English Channel by a German U-boat, U-33, in 1916.
