At the foot of the foreboding Gray Peak lies a desolate valley. These are the backwoods of the world of Waldyra—they offer nothing valuable to players, who rarely visit as a result. Yet this is the very place where the calm and good-natured dwarf named Crow is headed. Straight after leaving the Creche, he hopes to make a living there. This hero does not crave epic battles with monsters. Quite the contrary. He wants to be a merchant and develop his blacksmithing skills, while staying far away from fighting, long voyages, and clan squabbles.

In any world, even the most terrible, survival is possible if you have a plan and stick rigidly to it, if you aspire to achieve your goal without looking back, and most importantly, if you do not settle for the small, but constantly strive toward the large.

If you are at the very bottom, you should not be thinking about hanging on tight so as not to fall any further, but about climbing higher. Step by step, but higher. There is no other way in this cruel world. Elb and his team know this, and their path leads upwards, towards those who look down on Drainagetown from a height and spit on the heads of its inhabitants. They call themselves the Spiders, and they do not allow strangers into their domain. Yet if your timing is right, it is possible to take a sure step upwards. Mind you, it is only a step, for Elb is not planning to stop.

You've done well in life—but success is dull. You miss the days when you strove for a goal, when life was full of meaning and struggle. Well, fate has given you the chance to feel all of that again—granted, in less than comfortable circumstances. You wake up in a strange place where every day is a fight for survival, where even relaxing for a minute can spell your doom. This place is your new home—it is both strict confinement and a whole universe unto itself . . .

By now Elb is the talk of the entire Outskirts. Just imagine—he can venture into places that most locals won't even dare go near. He has, after all, passed through the terrifying Stagnant Cesspool like a knife through butter, doing justice on its vile inhabitants. And now he joins the ranks of those regarded with favor by the System, being promoted for achievement, and receiving bonuses and access to new goodies. However, our hero's plans do not include hanging around this dump. He and his unit, recently expanded to the tune of one fighter, are headed to Drainagetown.

A multitude of secret paths and trails exist in the world of Waldyra. Some of them lead to places that can only be described as "non-canonical." Those are always extremely well-concealed and almost impossible to find. Should anyone succeed in setting their foot on such a path, they'd be warned about doing it at their own peril.

Elb has long understood that life in a cage, and among the scum, is not for him. He cares not for his higher new position in stinky Drainagetown. The hero wants to find a way out of the steel labyrinth. But even if he makes it, what awaits him on the other side of the steel walls? Elb and his squad of goblins are about to receive the answer not only to this, but also to other questions. The squad has been through much together, and maintained its unity, but will it always be this way?

The journey to the City of the Dead continues. The maritime part of the voyage has been completed successfully. New roads, shrouded in darkness and mystery, are calling our heroes now. And it takes a very special person to survive them.

Angora. The legendary mystical City of the Dead whose location remains a mystery to everyone. Ancient legend has it that only the brightest souls find their final resting place in Angora-the ones that are considered worthy of an eternal afterlife. That is what Rosgard and his friends intend to find out. They are about to embark on another perilous journey. This time, their destination is Angora-the Great City of the Dead, once ruled by the death god Anrull before his fall from his lofty throne. And Anrull would never accept being thwarted that way.

The upward journey is always tough. The higher you climb, the stronger, smarter, and more savage the enemy. And nobody is insured against loss. Elb's tight-knit combat unit has lost a number of fighters. Loyal comrades-in-arms decided to leave the squad, just as it was entering a zone full of deadly dangerous beasties; a time when a fighting disposition and unfailing support were needed like never before. Will these losses affect Elb's desire to soldier on? No, they will not. Nothing but death will break the fighter goblin Elb's resolve to keep moving.

Elb remains faithful to his calling in Zombieland. He may succeed where hitherto nobody has succeeded, and complete the Blue Light mission. On the way, Elb contemplates the next location, Crontown, legendary city of true heroes. In the meantime, appearing unexpectedly on the horizon are some folks who sometime quit Elb's squad.

Zombieland is fiendish and dangerous. The place that has gobbled up many, leaving only ground bones, draws Elb and his team ever deeper into its decaying bowels. Doing battle with eternally hungry beasts who were once people, Elb is fast gaining status, as well as the respect of other zombie hunters. Zombieland, however, is capable of stopping and killing even the most deadly of hunters. This time around, the system provides the impossible Blue Light task, whose coordinates are given as: Room Number 191-28 Pain.

The vicious battle with the gray orcs is over. The outpost of Gray Peak has not surrendered to the enemy. Battered by swords and magic, the orcs have retreated back to their home mountains. The black storm clouds have scattered. But the break promises to be short-the orcs will soon return.

Hunter was forced to abandon life as he knew it when he first arrived on the ice world of the Pillar. But, unlike so many others, he didn't let the merciless conditions of his new home break him. Since his very first day in this joyless, freezing hellscape, he fought for survival. He can never let his guard down, because he knows that his strength and determination not only keep him alive, but also those who believe in him.

Das Spiel stellt Rosgard und sein Team jedoch vor eine neue Herausforderung: Sie müssen das Ultimatum der Krabber, einer aggressiven Unterwasserrasse, annehmen und sich auf eine schwierige und gefährliche Mission begeben.

Ein einzigartiger Spieler zu sein, hat so seine Vorteile, bringt aber auch eine Reihe von Problemen mit sich. Nachdem Rosgard in den Besitz eines Zaubers gelangt ist, der den magischen Schleier von einem unerforschten Kontinent entfernt, muss er sich auf die Rolle des Navigators vorbereiten. Denn er allein kann die Expedition über den Ozean anführen. Tut er dies nicht, wird ihm der Zauber von der Spielleitung entzogen. Rosgards Wunsch, eine Legende im Spiel zu werden, steht im Konflikt mit der Abenteuerlust unseres Helden, die jeden Versuch, seinen Charakter konsequent zu leveln, untergräbt.

Der fleißige Zwerg hat viele Herausforderungen gemeistert. Trotz mächtiger Gegner ist es ihm gelungen, sich und sein Reich zu schützen. Doch Ruhe ist ihm nicht vergönnt. Die Zukunft ist ein ständiger Kampf, mit unermüdlichem Einsatz beim Schmieden und Graben, zahlreichen Abenteuern und unverhofften Begegnungen. Niemand vermag zu sagen, was als Nächstes geschehen wird.

Doch kein Grund zu verzweifeln! Zeige Entschlossenheit, anstatt nur zu existieren. Du musst handeln. Du musst dein eigenes Spiel spielen. Das ist der einzige Weg, um zu einer wahren Legende von Waldyra zu werden. Du kannst nicht ewig vor deinen Problemen davonlaufen. Irgendwann wirst du dich ihnen stellen müssen. Also tue es nach deinen eigenen Bedingungen. Das Gespräch mit jemandem zu suchen, der dich in der Vergangenheit (vermeintlich) betrogen hat, wäre wahrscheinlich ein guter Anfang. Oder dich vielleicht der Bedrohung stellen und den Spieß umdrehen.

Wie zäh muss man sein, um den Stürmen des Lebens zu trotzen? Was tun, wenn alles, für das man so lange und so hart gearbeitet hat, in nur einer Stunde in sich zusammenfällt? Wenn das Leben einen solchen Schicksalsschlag bereithält, ist die Verzweiflung vermutlich groß — selbst wenn es sich nur um ein virtuelles Leben handelt. Für den Zwerg namens Krähe ist das virtuelle Leben genauso wichtig wie die Realität. In diesem Spiel steckt eine tiefere Bedeutung, die vorläufig nur dem Helden bekannt ist; alle anderen können nur raten.

Wichtiger Hinweis: Die Ereignisse im Krähen-Zyklus finden in der Welt von Waldyra zeitgleich mit den Ereignissen in Herrschaft der Clans - Die Rastlosen statt, bilden jedoch eine eigenständige Handlung. Jeder Zyklus ist mit der Hauptgeschichte verknüpft und präsentiert verschiedene Charaktere aus unterschiedlichen Perspektiven, liefert Informationen über ihre Vergangenheit oder erläutert den Hintergrund zu Ereignissen, die aus der vorherigen Reihe bereits bekannt sind.
