The New York Times number one international best-selling author of 19 thrillers including Orphan X, The Tower and Tell No Lies, Gregg Hurwitz is the master of his genre and has published the third installment of his breakthrough Orphan X series, Hellbent. Gregg Hurwitz talks to us about protagonist Evan Smoak, his very hands-on research and writing comics.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Katherine Ryan, Canadian comedian, actress, presenter and writer. Ryan moved to the UK in 2008 and began her career as a comedian with stand-up shows. Her debut television appearance was in 2012 on 8 Out of 10 Cats, and since then, she has been a regular on panel shows such as Mock the Week, Would I Lie To You and Have I Got News for You, as well as touring with her own stand-up routines. Joining us in the Audible Studios to talk about playing the role of Drumknott in Terry Pratchett’s Unseen Academicals is British writer, illustrator and dramatist Stephen Briggs. The writer and illustrator behind many of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld subsidiary works and merchandise, Stephen Briggs, who also classes himself as a ‘civil servant who dabbles in amateur dramatics’, has provided the voices and narration of Discworld and its characters in more than 20 audiobook recordings both in the UK and in the US.

After studying English at university, O'Leary had a successful career as a children's editor at the Penguin Random House publisher. Not enjoying living in London, O'Leary moved to the countryside and spent her daily commute working on her novel, The Flatshare. Joining us at Audible Studios is British racing driver Jenson Button, who won the 2009 Formula 1 World Championship. Cummins used the book to deal with her grief and portrays the lives of the victims and their families. She went on to release two fictions novels. Her newest release is American Dirt, a novel which looks at the plight of migrants, as a mother and son desperately attempt to escape a cartel in Mexico by fleeing to the United States of America.

Simon Hooper, social media star, businessman, author and father of four, brings us his debut audiobook, Forever Outnumbered: Tales of Our Family Life from Instagram’s Father of Daughters. Opening a window into real-life parenting through the eyes of a modern-day dad, the audiobook is a comical yet equally emotionally heartfelt ode to family life. Here we talk to Simon about using social media for good, his views on shared parental leave and his favourite parenting moments to date.

Joining us at Audible Studios is Queer Eye’s Jonathan Van Ness, an American hairdresser, television personality and podcaster. Van Ness was born in Quincy, Illinois, and has been openly gay throughout his life. In 2013, Van Ness was dressing the hair of a friend, Erin Gibson, who asked him to recap his webcast, Gay of Thrones, on her show, Funny or Die. From this, his Gay of Thrones series garnered more attention, and in 2018, it was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Short Form Variety Series.

Phelps-Roper married Chad Fjelland in 2016, and together they have a daughter. Phelps-Roper is no longer a practicing Christian. Since leaving the Westboro Baptist Church, Phelps-Roper has lobbied to overcome divisions and hatred between religious and political divides. In 2017 she presented a TED talk discussing her experiences of being raised within the church and about her journey towards leaving. This year, Megan Phelps-Roper has written a book, Unfollow, sharing her inside look at the church and the families within it.
