Jesus – ‘God with us’ (Matthew 1:23) – came to be ‘to’ and ‘through’ us. This is a gift from God. He refreshes our soul, and then flows through us to the world around us. He gives us purpose, power, direction – every day, now and forevermore. Jesus gave people not only truth to believe, but paths to follow, and Spirit to minister. In this short book I work in reverse order. I begin by sharing where I’m at now in dealing with cults, and then I work back to explain how I got to this place over the years. God looks for you. He searches for you. Jesus notices when you’re not there, and he leaves the crowd, the event, to find you. I hope God’s words and love come off these pages and stay with you, as ‘spirit and life’. You can only see what you see. This sounds obvious, but determines everything. What you see determines where you go and what you do. Do you see a path ahead? You see it, therefore you head in that direction. You don’t see it, you go elsewhere… Do you ‘see’ value or meaning in this career? You ‘go’ in that direction. You invest, study, sacrifice, meet up with… The light in your eyes – your physical eyes – gets you out of the woods, the literal woods. And the light in your mind, in your heart, connects you to life choices and relationships.

Jesus did not pursue success – or influence or impact – in the way of the world. He worked in an almost completely opposite way to what we consider ‘natural’. When Jesus healed a person, he would often ask the healed person to not tell anyone. At other times he would only partially heal, and send the person away from the crowds, from the onlookers, to experience the rest of the healing.
