When Galileo first challenged the flat earth theory four centuries ago, his new invention called the telescope took the world by storm. it was such an alien thing to people at the time, but amazed the world anyway, people now had a chance to look at heavenly bodies in their full glory. nowadays astronomy and the study of heavenly bodies is a basic knowledge education taught in schools worldwide and Telescopes are now so cheap than you can find them in the average household nowadays.
