About this listen

Marty Kihn was the nicest guy in the world, until he got fed up with being passed over for promotions at work, tired of being suckered into walking his neighbor's dog, and sick of being disrespected by the man who sold him his morning coffee. On the day he turned 40, Kihn set out to transform himself from Mr. Nice Guy into a rule-breaking, power-mongering, Fox News-watching asshole.

A$$hole is the story of Kihn's ascent from beta male to alpha male to asshole. From acting lessons to fight training, from hiring a life coach to covertly observing his nemesis at work, Kihn discloses the techniques that helped him hone his image as a jerk.

A$$hole is for anyone who's ever felt like a chump and secretly longs to release his inner asshole.

This is more of one man's experience. The end is a little surprising. All "nice" guys should
listen to this once.

Not really a "How To..."

Quite entertaining, and not as grim as one might fear, judging the book by its cover and title. It is a funny tale, and the author does not end up as a jackass / jerk / asshole, but merely as a more whole person. Quite good and cozy listen.

Goood

This book was definitely written to be read-aloud. I think this book will be entertaining whether your point of view is from that of the A$$hole, or that of the Nice-guy.

Some insights into the life of the a$$hole or if you want to become more alpha-male oriented.

Much better than expected and fun to listen to.

laugh a minute from begining to the end of the book. Narrator is excellent, writing is clever and extremely funny. Numerous instances that I laughed out loud while listening to my ipod. I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a humorous book.

Funny... enjoyed listening to this story. It's satire... not really a "how to" sort of book.

Very amusing self-help parody. The performance was great and made for great light listening during the commute. Another upshot was that fellow train passengers gave me a wide berth while I listened and frequently barked out unexpected laughter. It was nice to have so much extra legroom and an empty seat on the train for my purse.

The scary part was that I could identify with so much of the "asshole" stuff that I know question if I am a natural asshole already. I am sure many would agree.

Hysterical

An inspirational journey of self discovery. I loved it. I laughed out loud and was cheering this guy on. Who would have thought my newest hero would be an Asshole.

For all us 'nice guy' types out there, this is a great eye-opener. This book is entertaining but also gives a number of 'a-Ha' moments. Not meaning to really make you a real flaming jerk but just more aware of the game and 'rules' that most of the rest of the world operates by. And, it seems assholes win, so here's some advice that's worth listening to. Language is, of course, a bit strong for teens and below, but it's not crude or filthy.

Enlightening, real info

Hilarious and counter intuitive...had me howling within the first 2 minutes...on a flight where I cued it up. Grade-A prescription for becoming (or dealing with) the subject matter.

Hilarity/comedy of the work is enhanced by the narration...best I've heard in awhile.

Get this or be lame...:)
