First of all, I love the casting of this series.
Matteo and Sienna were a fun couple but Brooklyn stole my heart. That kid is great.
What I liked about this story is that it’s mafia, but you really feel the family bond, it’s not just about “the mafia” but the love and sacrifice for your family above all else.

This was an unexpected delightful listen. Aiden Snow is typically a yes click for me. And Desiree is becoming a definite 👍 yes for me too. SY has been doing this for so long he doesn't usually disappoint and didn't here. The story was different and unpredictable at times and I liked that. It had its dark moments, there's heat and a heroine that is kick a*s! loved her strength, although without giving away too much, she loved her family, especially her brothers and wasn't afraid of the family violence her family was prone to. I also liked that 'C' wasn't afraid to stand up for herself either. I'm a sucker for mouthy and strong female heroines. Dom her older brother was broody, and dangerous and Aiden was great narrating him although I wish he was in more chapters, and I hope we get to hear more about and from him in the next book. There's another brother Lorenzo, C's twin whose character had me guessing what was going on until the very end of the book. Was the story flawed at times, many are, but I listen to them anyway for amusement and entertainment.
Its becoming rare when I don't want to skip or rush thru any of the chapters. When you have sooo many audibles in your library and I do mean a lot too, its hard to hold my interest, especially in the romance genre, but I was pleased with this one, even with the cliffhanger, and for me it's worth the credit and can't wait for the next book in this series. Please don't make me wait too long☺️.

I loved this book. I am a hard core mafia romance reader. I really crave stories the strong, badass female leads. My only complaint was the ending.

- Did Sienna tell her father about her Grandfather's part to her kidnapping?
- What happened to the Grandfather?
- What happened to Kennedy?
- Did Sienna tell Kennedy's part in the kidnapping?
- How did Matteo's parents take the engagement?

Will there be a book finishing the story for Sienna and Matteo?

Twenty three year old Sienna (aka Si) is a sassy, strong, mouthy, badass businesswoman and Mafia Princess.. and so off limits to Matteo she should be in a different zip code.. and yet Matteo (aka The Beast aka Heavyweight Boxing Champion of the World) can’t stop his attraction to his High School stalker. Si used to be a plain, dowdy nobody in School.. but now she’s morphed into a feisty, sexy, confident Mafia badass. However, gone too is her childhood crush and her dreamy teen innocent delusional eyes.. now she’s a temptress who challenges him with her sexy biker look and disinterested attitude. Matteo doesn’t do strings, he’s got Brooklyn his precocious five year old daughter to consider.. so he starts by offering a one-time wham bam thank you Mam. But Si’s holding out for forever.. she’s not going to be swayed by his sexy good looks or her love for him and she’s determined to get it all.. or walk away.

A++ for effort Matteo... but he’s lying to himself if he thinks once will be enough or that he can easily walk away.. because Si’s voice and touch calms him down. Or they excite and arouse him because the explosive sexual chemistry sizzles and sparks every time Si’s near which has him burning for her. But, like his fit body, toned abs, hard muscles and undefeated world title he’s worked hard for, he’ll have to work just as hard for one taste of Si when he comes with a feisty badass five year old, a bitch of an ex, no strings and definitely no promises? However, let’s not forget she comes with a protective, loving, possessive, dangerous, badass Mafia Don Father and two equally possessive brothers.. and he’s already been threatened at gunpoint and forbidden to have any type of a ‘relationship’ with the Boss’ precious daughter. And yet, despite all that, Matteo gets an erection with one look in her sexy direction, he feels a warmth and something new in his heart whenever he sees Si taking care of his precious daughter and then he’s suddenly claimimg MINE when another man gets too close to HIS woman.

Worth a credit? Oh yes absolutely I loved it.. and, as Matteo and Si banter and go toe-to-toe to see who will buckle first, their banter is fun and flirty and the secondary cast of characters were great too. Si’s Father’s threats and challenges are very real but they have a very humorous edge.. with heart, warmth and the feeling of love flowing between siblings and their doting Father which runs through each and every well-written, well-paced chapters. The awww and sweet comes across loud and clear whenever there’s a scene stealing part with Brooklyn in it and love for the little tyrant is all around. There were four POV’s and each and every one of the talented narrators did an amazing job bringing this story, these characters and the wealth of feels to life and together they made this audiobook an entertaining, all-consuming, five star listen.
