E.K. Blair
Bang is one of the most talked about books of 2014, quickly earning E.K. Blair acclaim for her ability to weave a dark, twisted tale of revenge that will keep you on the edge of your seat till the last word.
They say when you take revenge against another you lose a part of your innocence. But I'm not innocent. I haven't been for a very long time. My innocence was stolen from me. Taken was the life I was supposed to have. The soul I was born with. The ruby heart embedded in a life full of hopes and dreams. Gone. Vanished. I never even had a choice. I mourn that life. Mourn the what-ifs. Until now. I'm ready to take back what was always meant to be mine. But every plan has a fatal flaw. Sometimes it's the heart.

E.K. Blair's style of writing is so gritty, descriptive, and reality based it's sometimes a hard pill to swallow.
Ordinarily this is what I love most about her book's but this one has so much brutally traumatic child abuse it caused a sickening reaction from me.
This author's writing is so mesmerizing it's sure to draw extreme reactions from her listeners.
For me mainly a lot of anxiety and that I can handle but this??
Now I'm really torn because other than the extreme abuse scenes I really liked this book.
Of course it doesn't help that it ended with a cliffhanger.
So now I'm dieing to Know what happens next.
But before I can move on in the series I have to listen to some HEA fluff in between or I'm going to need a prescription of antidepressants lol.
Elena Wolfe always does such a great job! She's the main reason I gave this book a chance in the first place.
So the big question is?? is it worth a credit?
I have to say yes!! it really is a good well written book.
I just couldn't listen to it straight through.
My head is spinning right now!!!

Bang is a sexually explicit story about a wealthy married woman playing games with two men. Elizabeth’s willing to do whatever it takes to make a new beginning for her and Pike. Blair captures readers attention from the very beginning pulling audiences along the way with this need to understand the importance of seeking vengeance on one man while trying to destroy another.
…
Elizabeth has had a traumatic upbringing causing her to detach from all intimate feelings during sex. She’s learned to shutdown with the help of Pike. Blair invites audiences to experience the pain and suffering of a young girl desperate to survive until she gets to live with her dad again.
…
It didn’t go unnoticed how Blair wrote Carl’s character and Declan’s character as sexual men with similar needs. There is a distinct difference that Blair illustrated in a spectacular way. Elizabeth was conditioned to view sex in a bad negative way, yet Declan molded her to explore the same punishment in a positive way. Through it all Pike was there to comfort her through the pain and confusion.
…
If you think you know the direction of this story you’ll be greedily happy to know Blair writes a riveting and compelling story about a game of revenge. Blair leads readers on a love triangle journey but it’s all a lie.
…
Nina is the most resilient character I’ve ever read. Blair has rendered readers curious and inspired by Nina’s ability to create these relationships all the while dealing with her childhood trauma.
…
This is an unabridged audiobook allowing audiences such as myself to enjoy following along with the ebook. I’m an eyes and ears person needing both. Performance by the one and only Elena Wolfe had me giddy with excitement. I adore her voice acting skills. Like all her reads she rocks Bang. Elena enhanced my listening experience.
…
This is the type of listen that requires earbuds or headphones as the story is sexually driven.
…
I’m absolutely impressed and stunned with Elena Wolfe’s performance and the way she transitioned from Nina’s feminine voice into Declan’s Irish brogue. Flawless is the word that comes to mind. This is why she is chosen for these roles. She’s a sure thing. I’m clapping with excitement at the brilliancy of her skills.
