I was a little disappointed with the ending. Left one couple's HEA hanging and starting the next couple's story. It's a good story like all of Golden Angel's books!! Don't get me wrong! I really enjoyed it!!!

This is the first book by this author that I've listened to. WOW! It is hot! I would say NSFW! Great Story! I'm already listening to the next one in the series. I have added this author to my TBR list.

This is hot, wonderfully written. But is almost cliffhangerish. The story isn't finished, this book can't stand alone. I highly recommend waiting to read until you have all of this excellent series. This series is worth the credits. I will definitely reread/listen to this series again and again.
Beautifully read the narrative drew me in.

I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy this-the story is outside of what I’d normally listen to- but I really enjoyed it! The story was entertaining, with a historical taboo element of a wife enjoying her husband’s kink. Really loved the narration, too, fit the story perfectly.

The first book in the series and if you are a fan of the Properly Spanked series by Annabel Joseph, you will love this series as well.

I loved the connection and banter between Eleanor and Edwin and how she tried everything in her book to get what she thought she wanted. And Edwin no nonsense reactions.

Birching His Bride is an intriguing Regency romance with lots of spankings and very steamy intimate scenes. Eleanor is forced to marry Edwin and makes her displeasure known by acting out as much as she can. Her behavior always leads to being disciplined by her husband. Soon, Eleanor realizes that she likes being spanked and that maybe being married to Edwin might be a good thing. The only thing I did not like so much was the small cliffhanger at the end but it also made me curious how the marriage will continue.

I listened to the audio book and I feel that the narrator S. Kitten did a very good job. Her pronunciation is great and did the book justice. I love both: reading the book and listening to the audio.

I really enjoyed the story between Edwin and Nell, and would have given this book 4 stars had it not been for the cliffhanger and the fact that their story continues over the next 3 books, mixed in with the other 2 couples. I would have rather seen each couple told within their own book.

This book would fall into erotica and domestic discipline. I believe the era is Victorian, although I'm not sure. It is interesting in the way men and women relate to each other, as well as how the same sex interacts in society. The narration was pretty good. I think it served to enhance the story.

I found the father's discipline of Eleanor to be a little creepy. I also found it creepy that Eleanor's brother Hugh was allowed to discipline her.

Edwin and Eleanor's relationship is off to a shaky start, with issues that are not fully worked out in this first book. I discovered quite by accident that this is the first in a four book series because I started listening to the 4th book and had no idea what was going on.

This story would have been really good had the 'hot' scenes been quite a bit less explicit. I'm a great believer in "less is more".
Also, the narration of this audiobook was not the best that I have heard as at times I found the pitch irritating and shrill.
But on the whole, it wasn't all bad and could have been better with a bit more polish.
My voluntary review above is given after listening to a free copy of the audiobook version and it is unbiased.
