Lady Eleanor Petersham knows exactly what she wants from her marriage - a man who will worship at her feet.
Instead, her father marries her off to her brother's best friend, the devastatingly handsome, authoritative, and devilishly dominant Lord Edwin Hyde.
It doesn't matter that he makes her entire body tingle when he kisses her, or brings her to heights of pleasure she's never known, or how he disciplines her when she plays nasty tricks on him - like throwing a dinner party which only includes dishes with ingredients he despises - she's not willing to give up on her version of marriage without a fight.
Pain and pleasure struggle for dominance the same way husband and wife do in this relationship.

I loved the connection and banter between Eleanor and Edwin and how she tried everything in her book to get what she thought she wanted. And Edwin no nonsense reactions.
enjoyed it

Any additional comments?
Birching His Bride is an intriguing Regency romance with lots of spankings and very steamy intimate scenes. Eleanor is forced to marry Edwin and makes her displeasure known by acting out as much as she can. Her behavior always leads to being disciplined by her husband. Soon, Eleanor realizes that she likes being spanked and that maybe being married to Edwin might be a good thing. The only thing I did not like so much was the small cliffhanger at the end but it also made me curious how the marriage will continue.I listened to the audio book and I feel that the narrator S. Kitten did a very good job. Her pronunciation is great and did the book justice. I love both: reading the book and listening to the audio.
Great Regency Romance

I found the father's discipline of Eleanor to be a little creepy. I also found it creepy that Eleanor's brother Hugh was allowed to discipline her.
Edwin and Eleanor's relationship is off to a shaky start, with issues that are not fully worked out in this first book. I discovered quite by accident that this is the first in a four book series because I started listening to the 4th book and had no idea what was going on.
I voluntarily listened to and reviewed the Audiobook received from the author.

Also, the narration of this audiobook was not the best that I have heard as at times I found the pitch irritating and shrill.
But on the whole, it wasn't all bad and could have been better with a bit more polish.
My voluntary review above is given after listening to a free copy of the audiobook version and it is unbiased.
