About this listen

Delilah Palmer has always maintained control of her life and outward personality, blocking the truth that's just below the surface. Using a façade meant to be normal and hide the scars of her childhood, she's made a good life for herself. Becoming a successful lawyer, she is finally free from the tortured past that haunts her daily - until he comes along and breaks open the cracks.

Nathan Thorne has a haunted past of his own. On the surface, he is personable, extroverted, and loved by everyone; everything Delilah isn't. However, hidden beneath his charming smile is a dark and tormented man that only Delilah has the power to unveil.

Forced into a small office together, they begin to see through each other's masks, and the magnetic attraction ignites an explosive relationship. Their firm, Holloway and Holloway Law, has a strict non-fraternization policy, forcing them to conceal their breach. But despite their efforts, separation becomes impossible, deceptions escalate, and Nathan begins to teeter on the edge of being overtaken by his past demons.

What dark secrets does Nathan harbor that stop him from giving in, and what is it that keeps him from healing and moving forward? And more importantly, where does Delilah fit into his turmoil? Will they be able to accept love and deal with all the trials that develop as their secrets are exposed, or will they fall through the cracks of their pasts and be consumed by all that haunts them?

An exciting new romance, Breach, book one of the Breach Trilogy, will hook listeners from the very beginning. With smoldering romance and captivating erotica, this enthralling story is perfect for all. Using shrouded secrets of the past and a combustible relationship that borders on taboo, this thrilling novel ramps up the tension and romance at every turn.

it was interesting

Ah finally finished this book it was interesting but I still don’t know what happened with Nathan and why he is like is he is… I’m trying to figure out if I missed something. I’m confused.

Plus the lady who was reading this book I swear she was hot and bothered 😂🤷🏽‍♀️ I could tell but still it was a interesting read . I felt bad for Delilah towards the end what Nathan done to her. Know what she been through growing up with her horrible father. Then the accident; I’m like really my guy? You going to get mad when you see what happened to her but you push her away.

I do wonder if I want to read the other books I do have the full book since it’s a collection. But I might prefer the audiobook like this one instead of reading I’ll see.

Dirty Mouth Sex God

Breach starts with Delilah "Lilah" Palmer starting her work day and flipping off a man who was watching her from his car in the parking lot. It was a shock to her to discover that this man was going to be her co-worker in her small office. Even when her boss introduced him as Nathan Thorne, his name doesn't mean anything to her even though rumors have indicating him as a federal prosecutor and his reputation as a lady's man.

Nathan Thorne has his secrets. He doesn't want to have any relationship with the opposite sex. It was one of the reasons why he decide to work for Holloway and Holloway Law because the law firm has a strict non-fraternization policy. He is hoping that this would keep him in his place.

Unfortunately, Lilah and Nathan are able to see the person beneath their facades while everybody does not. This makes their attractions to each other undeniable. They have to keep their relationship secret from their firm and co-workers.

Both have scars from their past. Lilah's low self-esteemed makes her cold among her co-workers. She is good at what she does except she is not sociable person. Whereas Nathan is a popular person among the women at the law firm but he is a tortured-soul and has his dark secret. The readers/listeners will be able to figure what has happened to Nathan before he joined the law firm. The only thing is when will he tell Lilah

What I love about Nathan is that he is quite human. I love that he smirks alot. He is into kinky sex and has such a dirty mouth. He is quite a hot, sexy, tormented hero who is wrestling with his demons. He is a sex god with a dirty sex talk.

I also love the nickname that Lilah gave to the women in the office who are trying to get Nathan's attention: Boob Squad. Nathan does noticed when they showed glimpses of their breasts to him but he keeps his relationship professional.

The only thing I didn't like is the cliff-hanger at the end of the book. This is the reason I gave it four stars instead of five. I'm pretty sure that readers/listeners will groan that Lilah and Nathan's story is not finished yet and will want to know what will happen next.

The narrator, Rachel Orlin does an excellent job in narrating the story. I love the voice that she gave to Lilah and the dirty sex talk voice to Nathan. I do hope Rachel Orlin comes back as the narrator to finish Lilah and Nathan's story. It is going to be a long wait since I really love to hear the narrator, Rachel Orlin again.

Nathan Thorne has BREACHED my heart!

Would you listen to Breach again? Why?

I will definitely listen again when series is complete on audio.

What does Rachel Orlin bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

This was my first book by this narrator and overall she did a great job voicing all the characters. At times I needed a bit more inflection in her voice though. Other than that I enjoyed her narration and I will look for her future books.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Nathan Throne has one very dirty mouth and he made my jaw drop on more than one occasion. Just be prepared, it's not all hearts and rainbows and you will hurt for both these characters.

Delilah dislikes Nathan Thorne from their very first meeting. Having no idea who he is she is less than pleased when she finds out they will be sharing an office. He is attractive, cocky, and soon learns how to get under her skin.

Nathan doesn't want to want Delilah, and it appears she is the only one not falling for his charming demeanor. Being in each others presence day after day leads to the inevitable which only causes more problems.

Not only do they have to deal with the fear of being discovered, they also have to deal with their own demons. This ends in a cliffhanger that will leave you wanting the next book.

Story picks up at the end then huge Cliffhanger!

The story finally gets interesting at the end and boom! I'm left hanging at the end. I will probably read the next one to find out what happens.

The story line had great potential but did not hold my attention. I cannot identify or understand the broken main characters. There are a lot of what people would call heated scenes but they were not my style.

The narration was ok. Perhaps a little monotone at times.

Crash and burn of two broken people

This story was well written, I truly enjoy when an author really takes the time to weave a good story. This one has elements of bdsm and is very explicit, so be warned.

The biggest warning though is the dreaded cliffhanger, which completely caught me off guard!

The narrator was too soft spoken and not enough inflection in her speech which brought my overall rating down, at times I drifted off and it was purely because of the narrator and not the writing.

Will I listen to the next part of the story? Of course! I have to see what happens next.

This book has unexpected depth

When I read this book I expected to find all sex, all of time and it does start out that way. The two main characters have very strong chemistry. The two main characters are also both extremely broken. They face many challenges. This book takes so many unexpected turns. I wonder about the research put into creating this book. this is not a simple romance novel. This book book has so much much depth you are literally blown away at the end. Thank God it's available for free as part of the romance package because I don't love Cliffhangers but I completely understand why she had to break the books up.

OMG. This book is amazing.

These characters are damaged.

These characters have INSANE chemistry.

Nathan is a DIRTY talker!! (PANTY DROPPING HEAT AHEAD)

Highly recommend.

The narrator did a great job!! I read the ebook first, but listening to it always brings the story to life for me. I fell in love with Nathan all over again.

Really enjoyed this book

Where does Breach rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Really good. I enjoyed this book and really look forward to finishing the series. I finished fairly quickly after beginning it which is sometimes rare for me.

What did you like best about this story?

The sexy times were off the chart, but I really liked the relationship between Nathan and Lila. They were both broken but needed to see that they could love and be loved.

Which character – as performed by Rachel Orlin – was your favorite?

Lila. At first I thought her voice was kinda blah but as the story progressed I saw she had the perfect voice for Lila. It encompassed how she felt about herself and how she lived her life.

Any additional comments?

I would recommend this book. I had this book for years and got the opportunity to review the audio book from the author and figured what the heck. Now I regret not reading it when I bought it. Can't wait to finish the series.
