Desire roused the demon within him....
Wanting to live freely as a human, half-incubus, Tristan flees the Wardens. Broke and starving, he accepts Cory's offer of a paid photo shoot, never dreaming he'd find a man with whom he could be aroused and erotic in his own body without having to submit to his demonic half.
Psychically sensitive Cory didn't meet Tristan by accident; he volunteered to find the beautiful, exotic man for his patron. Cory had never before been able to touch a man without discomfort and soon can't stop, but the hotter the sex gets, the more he can sense the darkness Tristan is trying desperately to escape.
Cory will do anything to keep Tristan safe, even if it means going against both his patron and the Wardens. Cory must learn how to soothe the demon—and to love the man within.

However, after the showdown at Cory's art showing I felt it lost something in the writing. It was almost like the author had spent all the time building up to the showdown that they weren't sure how to finish the book, leading the writing to become sluggish and sort of all over the place after that climax. Almost like the story peaked too early and lost the dramatic punch 2/3rds of the way through.
Even so, I did enjoy the beginning of the book and the ending, while it left a bit to be desired, held together enough that I could get through it. However, with the way the book finished I'm not sure I'd give the author another chance.
A bit uneven

Where does Demon's Dance rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
After reading the reviews i didn't know if i wanted to get this book. I'm glad I did. Tristin and corey's story was good, enthralling even. The creepy older guy was weird but i understand why he was there. I'd listen to this story again. What other book might you compare Demon's Dance to and why?
Horns GateWhich character – as performed by Max Tatch – was your favorite?

The pacing is strangely fast, almost like the author was working against a page limit or word limit. It left us unable to believe the characters or their motivations.
Max Tatch's performance is hit or miss. I enjoyed his accent for Blanco and his natural speaking voice for Cory and general narration, but his effeminate and diminutive voice for Tristan was fairly uninspired. His creepy Lawrence was also pretty good, so actually that's three-out-of-four, so maybe I'm being too hard on him. He mostly comes off like a "good actor" reading "bad dialogue."
All-in-all I was pretty disappointed in Demon's Dance. Still looking for a good M/M Demon or Cambion story that floats my boat. It wasn't this one.
disappointing... and kinda not sexy
