All about the alpha step brother romance

It wasn't that easy of a listen for me and it was also alot to follow at times. I was very excited for this one to come out, but now I'm not so sure about the next ones.

This justification goes to show ... you should never judge a book by its cover

I almost did not select this series because of the cheap smutty look of the cover. The story line twist and turns, the look back type of writing was great. I was pleasantly surprised.

Interesting and a little confusing

I wished she would have just split the POVs instead of a narrator going from 1st person to 3rd person then to Dallas! I think reading this would have been even more confusing! It was a twist to what we are used to with Dallas Sykes from the other SIN books... I would like to see where it goes.

loved the book , the readers.....hate the games of publishers....need to get more vigilant about making sure either book is stand alone or all have been released before getting any.

Ok book but love the narration

This was not a bad listen. The worst part about the book is that it too FOREVER to find out his secret. It wasn't that bad to me but I see how it can affect a man. I hated that the hero and heroine were so wishy washy to each other. I know they have reasons they cant be together but they just needed to make a decision and stick to it. I think a lot of time in the book was spent on the hero pushing the heroine away and that got a little boring. I liked the mystery aspect of the kidnapping and I have an idea of who did it. Other than that not a bad listen for me.

Lucy Rivers did a great job with this book and she is becoming one of my favorite narrators. 4 stars for narration.

Wasted a credit...

I love J. Kenner books and own them all. This book has to be my least favorite. I finished the book but it was a struggle.

The Secret wasn't so dirty

An intriguing taboo love story but it was mired in a kidnaping subplot as well as a bdsm subplot.
It was well written but the pace was slower than I would have liked. There wasn’t really romance, it was more like dark and erotic passion. I suspect more romance will come in book 2.

Dallas Sykes is known to the general public as “The King of F**k”, the billionaire and uber playboy who has and will sleep with anyone. But behind the mask lies a lonely man who desperately longs for only one woman. He uses his time, money and influence to fight behind the scenes as the founder of Deliverance. A mercenary group dedicated to rescuing kidnapping victims and returning them to their loved ones.

Jane Martin has been working for ten years to exorcise the demons from her traumatic kidnapping where she was held for ransom with her brother Dallas. Now she is taking up fighting vigilante groups that focus on the reward money as opposed to the actual kidnapping victim.

Dallas and Jane are doing their best to keep busy because they feel bereft without the person their heart desires the most. The angst of the situation kept it suspenseful. I was hopeful because it was clear there would be healing once Dallas and Jane surrendered. To deal with their yearning, Dallas and Jane begin sexual play that is both erotic and very sensual.

What I didn’t like the build of the forbidden issue perhaps because I didn’t find it so unthinkable. Such emphasis was placed on it when it was clear that the hero and heroine were undeniably drawn to each other. The story flowed much smoother when they gave in to their feelings.

I look forward to the resolution of the mastermind of the devious kidnapping as I have my suspicions. I also look forward to Dallas and Jane finally coming to grips with all they have been running from.

Secrets are Scandalous in this Book

Kenner has done it again. Here's another hot and sexy couple from the world of Stark International. Though quite removed from Stark's business, Dallas and Jane are just as sizzling. Their story is taboo, uniquely intimate and fraught with dangers.

After listening to book one, I kept going because I needed resolution. Be ready to download the next book right away!

Story just did not keep my interest

Has Dirtiest Secret turned you off from other books in this genre?

Not from the genre but it is doubtful I will continue the series

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Lucy Rivers?

Sofia Wilingham would have been better.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Boredom

I'm still processing

I love J. Kenner. Damien Stark and Nikki Fairchild are my absolute faves. When I started Dirtiest Secret I thought I was in store for a scorching hot treat. Sadly, that is not the case here.

I did not like Jane at all and found it incredibly hard to connect with Dallas. I don't even care about the other women and the fact that they are brother and sister. I felt so disconnected from the hot sex scenes, the mystery, and the kidnapping that happened to them as kids. There was no excitement. I just didn't like it.

The narration also bothered me for some reason. I've listened to Lucy Rivers narrate other books, but it didn't seem like a good fit for this story in my opinion. The more I listened I never adapted to her voice.

So sadly this one was not to my liking at all. Not even the interesting twist we get at the end that I suspected long before the end can get me to read the next book.
