it is a good and informative guide for people just entering the lifestyle. Even though Ive been practicing for a while I even learned some new things from this book.

By chapter 2, I bought this audiobook for my own Dom. Even though I'm experienced and have been active in the BDSM lifestyle, this book was a great broad-brush overview that helped me to understand the drivers for kinksters who differ from me, as well as giving some great food for thought and some great conversation topics that have helped us to grow as a D/s couple. Listening to this book is like hanging out with someone who's "been there, done that" and normalizes an alternative lifestyle in a clear, positive manner, gratifyingly without the posturing that's all too common. My Dom and I have had some truly amazing and revealing conversations as a result of this book, and I'm so very glad I've had the opportunity to listen. Oh, and great narration too. :)

The book has good information. the glossary, which was read in it's entirety could have been converted into a couple of chapters that went a bit more in depth on the subjects.

A personal view of the DS and BDSM that does provides a clear definition of the how, why and what it is all about. Wondering if you would fit into the DS lifestyle this is a must read.
Factual, humorous and easy to read.
Mike clearly knows and enjoys the DS lifestyle and his book will help you decide if it is for you

Provide a look into the lifestyle and relationship advice for all types people. The book covers many topic and is very insightful. The reader had a great voice and diction, which allowed me to listen on 3x speed.

Loved the book until you Google his name. Prison term for underage solicitation to bring a 16 yo into a poly marriage. Learned alot, but damn.

Ray Stanz was played by Dan Aykroyd, not Bill Murray. Pretty much the ONLY thing that the author got wrong.

Seriously this book should be required reading for anyone who has an interest in joining the BDSM community. It is delivered with the new player in mind, and can do a lot to keep players safe in what can be a risqué lifestyle.
