About this listen

The New York Times best-selling author of On Dublin Street, Down London Road, and Before Jamaica Lane returns with a story about letting go of the past and learning to trust in the future.

When Hannah Nichols last saw Marco D'Alessandro five long years ago, he broke her heart. The bad boy with a hidden sweet side was the only guy Hannah ever loved - and the only man she's ever been with. After one intense night of giving in to temptation, Marco took off, leaving Scotland and Hannah behind. Shattered by the consequences of their night together, Hannah has never truly moved on.

Leaving Hannah was the biggest mistake of Marco's life - something he has deeply regretted for years. So when fate reunites them, he refuses to let her go without a fight. Determined to make her his, Marco pursues Hannah, reminding her of all the reasons they're meant to be together.

But just when Marco thinks they're committed to a future together, Hannah makes a discovery that unearths the secret pain she's been hiding from him - a secret that could tear them apart before they have a real chance to start over again.

Admittedly, this book made me crazy with all the back-and-forth wishy-washy feelings between Hannah and Marco. And while it was not my favorite so far in this series, it's still a good story overall.

Not my fav in the series

I was a little disappointed in the last installment but this one seems to be back on the level of the first two. There was enough steam to keep it hot but a great story line too. I always liked Hannah and was glad she has her own story. I am hoping Cole has a story of his own coming along soon. Narrator was a delight too.

Back on track with this one

I love the Dublin Street books by Samantha Young; purchased all of them on Audible. The relationship between Hannah & Marco was like watching an avalanche - terrible communications and too many missed opportunities; excellent resolution to their love story.

Another excellent Dublin Street story!

I found that this story had a great beginning but the middle part of this story really lagged on and any emotional connection I had with the main characters had evaporated by the end. Though I must say I am pleased I listened to it to the end, I found that this is the weakest story of the book so far.

I am also going to need a graph for how everyone is related to each other soon. They are a fertile bunch of characters :)!

Stuck with it until the end#

One narrator for all characters, monotone dull storyline, dragged out, not like other books disappointing

Boring

I’ve enjoyed the other books in this series however this one really annoyed me, Hannah just put off Marco way too many times.

I was not sure about the female lead but as she had been through and experienced something I haven't emotionally or physically so as I tried to put that into perspective I began to enjoy the story more and relaxed with her character more and more sympathetic with her...I really like that the author can make these relationship stories so different but yet all connected.

At 1st wasn't sure - but ended up being very good

I love Samantha young, but this was her weakest book. I just couldn't relate to Hannah and found myself cursing her more times than not. She just seemed spoiled and I don't think that's how she was meant to come across.
But it was a good listen. I don't regret getting the book 😀

Not her best, but good.

What did you love best about Fall from India Place?

The real story line. Life is hard, and this is a love story that works through the hard stuff. I really loved seeing Hannah as a grown up.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Fall from India Place?

Finding out Hannah's secret. I did not see that one coming like I did Marco's. I think that I actually gasped.

Which character – as performed by Chloe Lynn – was your favorite?

Hannah

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I never cried but I did laugh out loud a couple of times and there were definitely some surprised gasps.

Any additional comments?

Samantha Young is a great storyteller. I have absolutely loved this group of books and hope there are a couple more to come.

In Love with this Series and this Author

Book 4 and still really good. It jumps ahead a few years which is good so Hannah is a little older now. It's also fun to see where all the previous characters ended up ( but I miss them) Chloe Lynn did a good job as narrator because who doesn't like the accent, right? I would have liked her better if she had been able to differentiate her male and female voice because 1. it's hard to get into a dude when he sounds like a girl and 2. I had to stop and rewind several times to clue into who was talking at times. But still, worth the credit for sure.

Something about this series has me hooked!
