About this listen

Welcome to Fate Hollow Academy, a place where supernaturals come together to train for war on humans.

Humans and dragons alike had declared war in Kalista. Every supernatural must stand and fight, but would it be unified or did the dragon cult hold their allegiance?

Humans have been experimenting on their own, creating something more mechanical than human. Dragons have been making alliances with other supernaturals under the guise of fighting our mutual enemy, but their agenda was darker than that.

All I wanted was to hide away with my mates, wrapped in the love we shared. It was a fantasy I desperately yearned for, but with every turn, a new enemy revealed themself.

Fate Hollow Academy Term 2 is book two in the Fate Hollow Academy Series. It is a paranormal why-choose romance with all characters over the age of twenty-one. It contains mature subject matter that may not be suitable for all listeners including strong language, violence, torture, mention of parental loss, and some sexually explicit content.

Understanding the main character (spolier)

This chapter was very well written. I looked thru the reviews before getting into the story and a lot of people stated the main character was still weak and they didn't like that. I have to disagree on this. Some people are not realizing the story is taking place in a slow time frame. it's not like a person can change in just a month ology hav to give the character time to grow. Wren has gone thru a lot of trauma and that's not easy to grow or get over. I can't wait for the next chapter. I really hope Samuel gets another mate cause I feel for him.

Love it

I really love this series, and that it has a lot of action that keeps me on my toes. I’m a little disappointed that Wren hasn’t grown at all in these two books and is still a scared, weak chic. I’m not sure how someone like this has the attention of all the guys when they have to constantly protect her and console her cause she is always crying over something. I thought it was fine in the first book because of her trauma, but I was hoping at least by the end of this book, she would grow a pair already and stop being so scared and letting the past dictate her present. I’m hoping the next book is better and maybe she grows more, but maybe she’ll just stay weak and have to have a bunch of men constantly save her.

Wren

I really do love this series but as I read some of the other reviews the more I did agree with them bout Wren. She needs to get a back bone and start standing up for herself. I hope she does better in the next book.
It time for Wren to put on her big girl panties and start kicking some ass.

Weak Wren

So I throughly enjoyed the first book in this series and quickly jumped to get this one. And I was pretty disappointed. The story matter is great don’t get me wrong however Wren is progressively getting weaker and weaker as she finds more mates. I’m all for a damsel in distress but Wren is constantly on the verge of emotional breakdowns and it’s exhausting. I’d love for her to grow a backbone. To stand up for herself. Even her power is relatively useless and that pretty much sums Wren up. It was extremely hard for me to finish this book because of her. I won’t be continuing on in the series.

Disappointing after book 1

Book 1/Term 1 was good. The author really set up the world they lived in and the characters and their personalities and connections. I laughed and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was looking forward to Term 2. However, it was a huge let down. In term 1 Wren was really kind but wasn't weak; in term 2 she's absolutely pathetic and so whiney I could hardly stand to listen to her character at all. She was a total idiot as well and completely worthless; she was just a giant distraction and weakness for her mates because she was so helpless and would do dumb things at dumb times. Also, during term 1 I felt like it might not be too much to have 7 mates in her harem because they all seemed so different and special in their own way. However, in term 2 there may as well have only been Rowan and Damien. Lachlan, Kian, and Thorn hardly even had roles in this book and were never around or got time with Wren. Thorn literally had 1 short Chapter from his POV. He has known her and been in love with her since they were 5 and he basically just gets tossed to the side or back burner or whatever. Damien completely takes over and is present in every situation which I thought was kind of funny in book 1, but sometimes it seems super rude of Wren to not ask him to give her and her other mates space. It makes it seems like she has no respect for her other relationships and doesn't really even care about them. I like the MMC's, even the ones you hardly hear from in the book. I really wish Wren wasn't so weak and such a whiner. She should spend less time spreading her legs and more time getting stronger. It was also super annoying how shed get mad all the time about people calling her cute and would tell them she was dangerous. Maybe dangerous to public opinion of women everywhere I guess.

The narrators were excellent and brought a lot to the story but the whining was very hard to listen to. I'll continue to term 3 just because I'm invested and want to know what happens now but I'm really hopeful Wren isn't such a worthless idiot. She doesn't have to be a total bad a** but come on, give her at least some brain power.

Don't read if you like strong FMC's

FMC constantly says she's strong but never proves it. It's sad that the FMC is the worst part of the book, especially since the MMc's, her best friends, and the story itself are great. She constantly refuses to acknowledge her limitations, which puts everyone she loves in danger for nothing. I really liked the first book and hoped she would prove herself in this book, but she doesn't. Honestly, she's weaker in this book than the first. It's annoying to see the regression.
