About this listen

I never asked to be an Omega.

I’m a Fortune Fae — I see the future. But I didn’t see this coming.

My Alpha will stop at nothing to possess me until he drags me all the way to Fortune Fae Academy to join the other wide-eyed Omegas-in-training. He believes I’m strong enough to survive — and I hope he’s right.

He also believes I’ll kneel at his feet.

He couldn’t be more wrong about that.

I don’t need three broody Betas and an asshat Alpha telling me what to do. I’m going to keep running until he realizes he’s chasing the wrong girl.

Except there’s one slight problem. My Alpha has seen the future, too…and he knows something I don’t.

Whatever he thinks is going to happen, his cruel smirk says I’m not going anywhere.

Fortune Fae Academy is Book 1 in a Reverse Harem Omegaverse Romance. Be warned there are obsessive males who will stop at nothing to claim their fated mate. Trigger warnings include dub-con, strong language, and violence. As this is a series, book 1 ends on a cliffhanger.

This book does a fabulous job of demonstrating Tho

rn’s amazing skill; a skill that is clearly growing the more she uses it at that.

This is a dark, omegaverse read and it contains dubcon and a hierarchy you might not appreciate if you’re close-minded or sensitive or easily triggered, so consider this a warning if you can’t handle such things.

That said, it’s epically, brilliantly done and throughout the read, I couldn’t help but marvel at Thorn’s talent. The reader is treated to multiple, alternating POV and may find themselves rooting for everyone whose POV they’re treated to … yet each one’s goals/ life mission / contradicts at least one of the others’. You’ll be kept on your toes for sure. It’s fast-paced and complex at times, due to the nature of the fortune fae and their realm. I strongly recommend having read (EFA), (MFA 1), (2) and (3) prior to starting this world. The more familiar you are with this world and some of the other fae realms, the easier it’ll be to grasp, as it all becomes second nature eventually.

As someone who’s been treated to a few scenes with Gina now, thanks to the books I already mentioned, plus (EFH), I was extremely amused by finally reading in her POV. Much of what other people find frustrating about her is really just her trying to be helpful. They think she’s sort of flakey, or off in the clouds, but she actually deeply ponders things first. Brilliant character development, continuity and perspective. Again, demonstrates extreme talent on Thorn’s part.

🌸 Ebook:
Absolutely stunning and free of distracting errors.

🌸 Audiobook:
Yummy. The male narrators’ voices are pure sex, but also smooth and easy to listen to. The males’ pronunciation is great and tones tend to be appropriate.
The female has a smooth, pleasant voice and I’m a huge fan of hers. Her accent isn’t always ideal. After many listens to her, I do still find myself just momentarily distracted or confused here & there. For example: “This was a secret I doubted minnie knew...” and i’m like “Huh? Who’s Minnie??” for just a second before I realize “minnie” is this narrator’s way of saying MANY. Similarly, “offending” is “offinding” , meant is “mint”, etc. 99% of the time, this is a non-issue and I do seek out books by this narrator, as someone who has trouble listening to most people read. 4.5 stars for the audio performance.

5 stars.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

🌸 Ends on a wicked cliffhanger but totally worth it.

Excellent listen!

I’m not a big Omegaverse reader, however this book was very good, and the performance was amazing! The female narrator has a sultry voice, and the males do a great job showcasing four different personalities. The cliffhanger at the end definitely makes me want more, even though I’m not into this typical trope, so I’d suggest that’s a win!

So rape-y

Loved the rest of the books in this universe, but this is far past dub-con and not much in the way of a story beyond a stalking alpha who will completely remove consent

DNF in the first 5 min

We really need a warning about the sexes of the relationship. There’s M/M right off the bat and that’s just not my cup of tea.

Let me be clear...this is zero stars

I am so incredibly disgusted...infuriated this book is nothing but rape and molestation!! I’m not joking the FMC rubs from this guy and wants nothing to do with him. But he is grossly obsessed with her. Seriously at one point he finds her, forces himself on her, rubs his manhood on her privates, makes her body react and then says that she wants him! Just because the body reacts does not mean she is willing! Even if your raped your body may still act like a body does. But she begs him to get off of her and he keeps holding her down rubbing on her. Later in the book he literally forces one of the guys to suck him and says that it is punishment!!!!! He is punishing him by sexually abusing him! And the author makes this seem ok! I will fight to get this off of audible because I am not ok with rape or molestation or sexual abuse and I have NEVER EVER in audible or tv or movies have I even seen someone “normalize” sexual abuse! I seriously cried in disgust during those scenes in this book! There should at leave be a disclaimer that there is sexual abuse disguising itself as entertainment in this book!! I will go to social media, goodreads, amazon and whatever place I can go to make it know that this is a absolute disgusting book! Trust me, if you have a past or triggers, don’t read this book...it is sick my stomach hurts honestly!!

this book is just a sick rape fantasy.

(spoilers)

.
The fmc wants nothing to do with the mmc and makes this known repeatedly, but the mmc is so toxic and obsessed. and in the end, she shows she would rather die than be with him. so he drugs her and then rapes her.
And that is not even bringing up the psychological torture and Stockholm that is shown. also all of this is not only seen as ok in the world, but everyone thinks the fmc is in the wrong for saying no.
