this is the fourth book of a floor book series. all four of which reading in order. Even though each could stand alone read as a whole makes a very interesting exciting read. Gwen Hunter is also known as Faith Hunter. she offers another series or two. look into Jane yellowrock worth fun and exciting Adventure in the world of Magic, vampires, werewolves, shift changers all set against the background of Louisiana and New Orleans.

Great story of love realized

She finally admits it and allows herself to experience the love she's always wanted. I can see this becoming a night soap😁

Leaves you wanting more

I loved this series! I listened to the first one, and was hooked. Gwen Hunter tells exciting, fast paced, medically accurate (mostly) stories in this series. You are rooting for Rhea Rhea and Mark, while being exasperated with their stubbornness. They are human, which is a hard thing to accomplish by some authors. They have flaws, warts and make decisions you want to shake them for! I was left bereft that this was the last book about Rhea and Mark. I loved all of the characters. And being a southern gal myself, felt right at home with the slang, and how everyone was in each other's business. One note to the author: Please give us another series that picks up in the present day!! Or at least give us a book of short stories about these characters that updates us on their lives!

Wishing for more

I have enjoyed this story line, and would love to see more. Love the dimension of the southern life and the small town environment.

A fun book to listen to.

I have enjoyed this series. It is a good get-away-from-it-all book. In book four, the county coroner Anita Yarborough is wounded in a shoot-out and our protagonist Rhea Lynch M.D. is drafted as acting coroner. All Dr. Lynch does on the murder victim, John Pendergrass, is pronouncing him dead and then the body is transported to the medical examiner in the next county. Then a mass grave of young girls is discovered and Dr. Lynch is on the hunt for a serial killer. Oh no, not another story about a serial killer. I am sick to death of serial killers.

In her personal life Lynch ‘s boyfriend, police Captain Mark Stafford, calls off their relationship, but no fear, along comes Eli Cordell, an ex-military commando, as a new romantic interest. The question is which man does she end up with at the end of the book?

The book is well written and fast paced. There is lots of action in this book as compared to the prior book in the series. Hunter is a good storyteller and keeps my interest in the story. I enjoy the understated humor in the story.

Carol Hendrickson does a good job narrating the story. Carol is a voice over artist in three languages. She has narrated numerous audiobooks.

Not as good as her first three in the series

Would you try another book from Gwen Hunter and/or Carol Hendrickson?

Maybe

What did you like best about this story?

I liked the plot of the story

What didn’t you like about Carol Hendrickson’s performance?

Nothing. She is an excellent orator

Did Grave Concerns inspire you to do anything?

No

Any additional comments?

I have really enjoyed several of Gwen Hunter's books but this one was a bit of a disappointment. Too much time was spent with chit chat and conversations that seemed like filler to make up for a lack of substance to the plot.
