Great Series, but the female narrator...
I love this author, this series, and this story-line, but I cannot listen to the female narrator. Her voice is fine; she has good inflection. The problem is each and every time she inhales, her inhalations sound like she is gasping for air. Those continual, sharp inhalations with each and every breath make me too anxious to finish the book. I don’t know if she can adjust her microphone or if there’s another simple fix for this; I hope so... The male narrator deserves 5 stars, and I hope this review does not negatively affect him whatsoever.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Hemy?
This whole book is a memorable moment as Hemy has no filter and he sure gave me quite the experience!

My heart was pounding and I was blushing throughout the whole book as Hemy sure took me on a dirty ride that I was happy to hop on to!

Didn't like it
Hemy's story is more of a second chance romance, but I found nothing romantic about their relationship. I was uninterested and I really hate to say that because the author is one of my favorites.
The best part about this book was narration and that's about it. Love Beckett's voice. He has such a deep and quite frankly sexy voice that I image any big, strong alpha male to have. I also really enjoyed Alexandra Shawnee. She is slowly but surely growing on me with audiobook I listen to that she narrates.
So finally, I'll just say I didn't like this story at all. Still don't get why Hemy is a stripper and how his ex ended coincidentally being one too. It kinda made sense why Slade became one, but not for Hemy or Onyx. I didn't like Onyx and her reasons for not trusting Hemy. The secret she kept from him was the last straw for me. I don't care how much he hurt her she had no right to keep that from him.

Loved
We got first introduced to Hemy in book one. We really get to know him in this story. We get to know where his heart is, who has is heart, and the pain the he carries. We also get to see Hemy in his dark times and one of his biggest mistakes.
Now in this story I done whispersync and let me tell you the narrators did and amazing job. Lets just say they really put a lot of emotion in to this story and there are times you will squirm in your seat. LOL
I loved when Hemy ran into Onyx again. I know both of these two were shocked. Now we learn right off the bat we knew that Onyx has a dark secret. We spend our time reading and wondering what that secret was. Let me say once the secret was revealed I understood Onyx reasoning behind what she done. Her heart was really in the right place. Could she of handled it different, yes but I still understand.
I also understand Hemy feelings of hurt and betrayal. I know this had to hurt him deeply. You have to wonder if his love for Onyx is strong enough to carry him through.
I love the passion Hemy and Onyx felt for each other. With these two it was more about sex. Their love was on a deeper level and when you read of these two’s history you understand why.
When I started reading this story I could not help but wonder how Onyx will feel about Hemy being a male stripper. But let me tell you Onyx has a few surprises as well.
Such a great story and know I have to read book three in this series. FYI, so far Hemy has been my favorite character so far.

Another spicy one down!
I’m so glad Onxy and Hemy got their happily ever after. I’ve never been more anxious to see if a couple was going to get back together or not. This book was just as good as book one!

Hot Second Chance
I love a hot romance that I can start and finish on one shift at work.
Standalone with no Cliffhangers.
Great second chance romance. They met young and fell in love. His emotional problems led to drugs and her leaving.
Now she's back in town and he isn't going to stop until he gets her back. He'll do anything.

The female narrator didn't work for me
Not a fan of the female narrator. I would rather have male narrate the whole book.
