I knew the rules.
Never reveal my true identity. Play the game, give the illusion. Don't get close to the clients.
The dark and glamorous lifestyle of the rich and shameless open my eyes to a lavish world of sin and wealth, and a man I can't have.
A man I desperately want - James Riviera.
We're treading a fine line as we live the ultimate double life until we make a startling discovery that tests both our loyalties.
I only had to follow the rules, but rules are meant to be broken.
Contains mature themes.

🔘Age gap
✨Thoughts✨
Think of it as a modern-day rendition of "Pretty Woman," with some interesting characters and a lot of spice. Be prepared, as this is no ordinary romance. Rather, it serves as an awakening of sorts for the FMC.
🔸While I struggled to connect with the main characters, my goodness, did I enjoy this book! Our protagonist, Aubrey, appeared to have some good intentions; however, she often found herself making bad decisions that she would later regret. Both Aubrey and James displayed selfish tendencies, leaving their actions far from admirable. Their story was a trainwreck waiting to happen, and I couldn't look away. Although the ending felt somewhat rushed, I understand that there's a second book set to continue the narrative, so it seems fitting.
🎧The solo narration was good. I would love for this story to be re-narrated as a duet narration. It would be incredible!
🔸Overall, if you can handle all the spice with "Pretty Woman" vibes, then give this audio a try.
🔸Very Spicy🔸

It is a freaking disaster out of the gate but I think that's why I enjoyed it so much.
I love forbidden romance and the spicy scenes were freaking hot and taboo. I haven't read a story like this in awhile and I remember why I like them so much. So interesting to get into the world of a sex worker. I didn't see any of the surprises coming and I think it's because I didn't read any reviews and the blurb was great at not giving anything away. The ending was beyond emotional for me and I was both sad and angry for Aubrey despite bringing this on herself in some ways. This is a MUST read if you like forbidden romance. I listened to it on audio and it was fantastic. Had to slow the speed down because so much was going on. :)
Loved every minute of this trainwreck.

I loved that at the start I had no idea who the love interest was going to be. The beginning of this book is all about world-building and character development and unlike a lot of instalust/love books this never felt rushed or forced. I felt like I really knew Aubrey before we meet the hero and their dalliances begin. With a pretty significant plot twist that just adds to the tension in the book, it also deals with tough topics such as having a loved one who is sick and dying and what s*x workers might do to get through their work.
I had shied away from starting this book because I wasn’t sure if I’d get over the 31-year age gap, but it surprisingly didn’t bother me. This is a book driven by s*x and it was hot and heavy in a lot of parts.
But when Aubrey says, “Make love to me.” And he replies, “Sweetheart, I’ve been making love to you all along.” You can’t help but swoon a little.
Elizabeth does a fantastic job on the narration. She sounded age appropriate for Aubrey and I really believed her performance. All around this was a great book, I do wish we had a little more once they actually got together at the end, but a friend said there’s a novella that comes after this that’s a bit like an extended epilogue, so I plan to grab that too.
Fun, Feely, and Filthy!
