Great end to the series

Very emotional and sad, but they get their happy ending. Definitely worth a credit to finish this series!

Very Deep, Emotional and a bit too drawn out...

I love A.L. Jackson’s books. Some of them go so deep into emotional description which a lot of times is just way to much.
This book is one of them.
I wish the descriptions of their feelings for each other, the way she sleeps, the way she breathes, the sun rising, the waves, etc. weren’t so long and descriptive.
There was a lot of eye rolling.
Elizabeth and Christian struggle again as they get back together for the 2nd and 3rd time.
The way it was written is a very back and forth with time and I don’t mind that, but this was annoying. You don’t find out why they break up in this book until half way through.
When you do find out, what follows is hard to listen too.
Just not my favorite A. L. Jackson Book.
I would have been happy at stopping at Book Two in this series.

EMOTIONAL..

This was a very emotional story. I think that it was extremely well written and very moving. Once I started listening, I couldn't stop but it was a sad, slow ride to get to the 'happy ending' that I anticipated.
Of course, Andi Arndt, did an excellent job but a male reader would have been nice.

Loved the story

I loved the story I disliked all the flashbacks in the chapters along with the female voice for Christian vs male voice became confusing where I had to rewind.

Great Series

This was a sweet ending to a heartwrenching series. Sort of long drawn out but so worth it. Andi Arndt was great as usual, however a male narrator might have added to the angst and joy.

A book of trauma, but well written and narrated.

Oh my goodness this book absolutely gutted me. It tore me to shreds. Amy has written about one of the most traumatic things I can think of and has done it with a realness and a raw quality that had me bawling. No this is not a pretty love story. Christian and Elizabeth have to claw their way to their HEA. The emotions are like a tsunami that just keep coming.

This book went back and forth from the past to the present, with the timelines slowly getting closer and closer. It was kind of like a crash that you see coming but can’t do anything to stop. I’m sure people who have experienced this would understand fully the pain that Elizabeth and Christian go through. I haven’t personally experienced this trauma but have something that made me feel all these emotions and it was a tough book to listen to.

Andi, well I’m not sure how she got through this one. It would have taken a lot out of her I’m sure. She gave us so much raw emotion.

Even though it was an uncomfortable listen at times, I’m glad I pushed through. It gave me some insight into the despair that comes with living this kind of trauma and I would hope that I could sit with someone who has lived this and be of some support.

A well written journey of grief, trauma but also a love that was strong enough to get them their HEA.

Have your tissues at the ready for this one, you’re gonna need them.

Didn't really like this one

I found myself FF thru most of the book. there just wasn't the usual capture of interest for me. it was all "I love him/her with my life" immediately to "I hate him". The back and forth is just exhausting. Just didn't do it for me in this book, and I love AL Jackson!

Hard to swallow

I understand the mental effects on someone when they lose a child but I’ve never wanted to slap someone more than I wanted to slap Elizabeth. This was just really slow for me.
