About this listen

Hunted by her own kind for breaking vampire law, Lisbeth is on the run and fighting to stay alive. Desperate and lost, she stumbles onto Knight—a mysterious Lycan with a dark and alluring appeal. As natural born enemies, she should find him repellent. Yet, as the two are forced together in a quest for survival, she finds her body aching for his touch. With darkness closing in on them from all sides, Lisbeth faces no greater danger than allowing herself to give in to pulsing temptation.

The Born Vampire series is a slow build reverse harem paranormal romance. This audiobook has an 18 plus warning and is intended for mature audiences.

Exciting start to a series

Can't wait to read (listen) to the next book. Mortal enemies vampires and Lycans are in this series. The main characters fall in love, but go through everything to keep them apart. This ends on a cliffhanger. Great narration too!

Has Potential

The first book of the series always worries me because when setting up a series it requires back ground and world building. This one starts out quite slow and I found my mind wondering while listening. Honestly the whole first part really could have been summarized. I get wanting to know the difference between born and made vampires but really that’s not what this story was about. Lisbeth is a born Vampire who comes across a wolf pup and sends her home. This earns her an alphas bracelet of protection and breaks one of her laws. When hunters show up her friend Olivia warns her and helps her escape. The story starts getting good when Knight a shifter and enemy enters the picture. I quite enjoyed the last half and am now curious to see where the story goes. It does end on a cliffhanger. I will say hold out it gets better. The narrator was okay. I didn’t just love her or find really anything wrong with her. She does the job of giving each character their voice but I feel it could have used a little more emotional depth.

Good First of Series

Kind of a slow start but it finally got going and we're set for the rest of the series...after a cliff-hanger! I just hate when that happens, but hey, if you like vampires (born or turned), Lycans (and werewolves, there is a difference), along with romance and some action, this is good start.
