About this listen

Tess used to spend more hours than she'd care to admit playing her favorite computer game, using the nickname Angel. She could pretend her life was different, and she could pretend Arion was just a friend. But a girl needs more to keep her warm at night than pixels, and she traded her virtual heaven for a real-life hell. Now she's on the run from a past she won't talk about, and the only place she has to go is the doorstep of the friend she's never actually met. When Angel disappeared from their nightly games, it nearly destroyed Arion. He threw himself into work and women, but he can't help knowing the one-night stands will never compare to the angel who haunts his dreams. At first, when she shows up soaking wet and scared-shitless on his doorstep, he thinks his prayers have been answered. But the more Arion tries to keep Angel close, the more her fear drives her away. If they are ever going to have a chance for a future, they'll first have to deal with the past that hasn't forgotten her any more than she's forgotten it-and Arion will have to learn how to let her go.

No One's Angel is a New Adult (NA) Contemporary Romance about a girl learning to fight back and a boy learning how to let go. It is recommended for mature audiences only due to language and sexual content (HEA ending and cliffhanger free).

Outstanding

This is one of the best narrated stories that I have ever listened to! It is a well written love story like none other I've listened to.
It's the plot of the story that's interesting. A love that's true.

Loved the Characters

While the writing may not be award winning, I enjoyed the characters in this book so much that I've listened to it twice and went on to read the next one also.

Totally AWESOMENESS!

This book was simply great... Great storyline, great action, great drama, and great smex... Really smart idea of building the chemistry between the characters before the book even began... as they built a relationship online... (they were gamers)... A gamer myself... I can relate to how easily this could be done...

Anyway... I love how these two characters who really don't know each other, find themselves and each other in a sense over the whole course of the story... The ending was perfect too... Even the bad guy was perfect for this story... a bit of realism...

Narration was perfect... superb in fact... No too characters sounded alike... it was great..

I will definitely look for more from this author and narrator...

A good credit, sale or buy....

Satisfactory plot but serious grammatical errors

A young woman, Tess, disappears from an online gaming world, which haunts her online flirt, Axle. After a year, Tess unexpectedly appears on Axle's doorstep to escape her abusive, drug dealing boyfriend. The two admit to each other that their longtime, online relationship was more than a friendship as they work through a number of misunderstandings and uncertainties; meanwhile, Tess's ex hunts her.

The plot works, but the writing's grammatical errors are cringe worthy. Neither the plot nor character are particularly original and some of the similes are awkward - even unintentionally funny. Even so, the author demonstrates originality in her writing voice and certainly has potential. She should continue to write, but needs to employ a competent copy editor.

The reader is talented, but the production is poor, i.e. awkward silences, echos, etc. Still, the problems are only mildly distracting.

"Enough angst to fill [multiple] mosh-pits"

Any additional comments?

"Enough angst to fill mosh-pits" is a quote from the book that basically sums up the entire book. Overall I liked the book, but if angst were sugar I'd be in a diabetic coma. Because it was good enough for me to want to hear the ending I put up with it, but all the angst had me thinking "when will this end" very often.

No one's Angle

Actually I think the story had great potential but it didn't quite fulfill it. Overall the story was great but it left to many questions open that could have made the store greater - like never meeting his mother (his issues could have been solved that way too) and knowing precisely what happens to Nick afterward too would have been a way to make the story better.
I liked it though but kind of misses something more.
The audio was quite annoying too with a lot of background "wind" sound and a guitar loud click at the end at every chapter. Really annoying when you listen through headphones.

WOW..This book is really bad..like really bad!

The narrator is horrible. .there are spaces where she just breaths. .didn't know what was up with that.. a bad narrator can make or break a audiobook and this narrator destroyed this book.. it wasn't very good to begin with.. Now lers discuss the plot..the premise of knowing each other via virtual gaming just doesn't work well .. I believe this was a cheap ploy the author used to build!up the relationship between H & h..no need for character development. .and h was all over the place.. I want him to touch me.. than no get the "F" off me..really. and by the way you don't get a description of how h looks.. you're told she has long brown hair. .very brief. ...the book needs a lot of character development .. I would not recommend this book to anyone. .really don't do it..
