Publisher's summary

The world owes you nothing.

It took losing the woman I loved, and facing the paralyzing task of moving on without her, for me to truly understand that.

Consumed by regret and razor-sharp memories, I’d resigned myself to a life of loneliness, until a survivor from the same plane crash that took my fiancée stormed into my life.

Remi Grey was chaos and sunshine, fire and freedom. With her in my arms, I began to believe that fate had other plans for me.

But as secrets of the past exploded around us, it seemed the only thing fated about our relationship was that I had been destined to lose her from the start.

The world owes you nothing. But for Remi, I would risk it all. No matter the cost.

Amazing story and characters

Erin Mallon rocked her narration. Browens narrator sounded more like the alleged kidnapper than the smart, sweet and sexy character. But for this storyline I will press on.

Oh my god!!! Such a great narration!

This book takes you through the emotional ringer! What a story that grabs you immediately from the start. This ending has me super thankful I have book 2 waiting already! Narration was perfect and they brought it to life beautifully!

Wow!

This book was so good. I thought I kind of had things figured out, but at the end I was so shocked. I love how some authors have the ability to take you on a wild ride. Can’t wait to start the next two. The narrators were amazing as well!

Wow!

This book completely took me by surprise. It really wasn’t at all what I was expecting but I found myself swept away in the story and the characters. I will definitely be jumping right into the next book in the series.

Fateful love story.

Bowen and Remi’s relationship unfolds through tragedy, deception, and emotional turbulence as Aly Martinez tells a story of love, sacrifice, and selflessness. It’s best to experience her stories without a detailed description of the plot and I don’t want to give out spoilers but the emotional and psychological drama of Bowen and Remi’s fateful love story will stay with me for a very long time to come. I really enjoyed their sizzling chemistry, their witty repartee, and the mental health aspects of their relationship. I listened to the audiobook and while I really enjoyed Erin Mallon’s nuanced performance, Lance Greenfield’s voice was all wrong for Bowen’s character. I decided not to purchase the rest of the series in audiobook version because of the author’s decision to miscast him in this role.

ALY’S SPUN GOLD HERE & I 😋 BINGED ALL THREE

I patiently waited until all three books in this awesome Trilogy was released because I knew AM’s world-building and layers.. her cast of characters.. her cleverly weaved plots with their twists and swoons.. and her heartfelt feels in her cleverly spun romances are always addictive. Addictive non-stop listens for me. But absolutely nuuuuuthhhhhhing could’ve prepared me for this memorable, stunningly heartachingly beautiful, very VERY emotional triumph over tragedy love story. It moves through and flashes back through loss, attraction, chemistry and love.. to grief, moving forward, looking back, growth, strength and Fate’s hand bringing loving soulmates back together again and again. A man lost.. a woman found.. and always always always the most enduring love between them. I really can’t say much about the storyline.. but jaw-dropping more than once folks.. sleepless nights more than twice night owls.. and second chances more than thrice romantics.

Worth a credit? Yes.. yes.. and yes for all three books and each one had a different aura in their crucially constructed part of this masterfully written Trilogy.. and all three parts were magic. I loved the characters, the ebb and flow of the story, the twists and turns, the secrets, the jaw-dropping OMG shocks and the suspense. And the revelations, the gut-wrenching heartache, the passion, the splashes of fun and the beauty in Remi and Bowen’s breathtaking, sweeping, epic romance together.. and apart. The wonderful dual POV narration by Erin and Lance was great too which really makes you feel their joy and their sorrow, their highs and their lows, their pain and their pleasures and their struggles and their triumphs in this wonderfully climactic love story.

Spoiler Free. Great narrators, go in blind

I’ve read enough of Aly Martinez books to know that a twist was coming. So this one, I saw early on. It’s still shocking and I want more information about the circumstances with Bowen and Remi. A lot more background about Remi is needed from Remi’s POV and I hope book 2 will provide that.

Aly Martinez always gives great heroes. Loveable and swoon worthy guys so it’s no surprise that Bowen stood out in this first book. It’s not necessary to read reviews on this book, just go in blind and buckle up.

Sigh… narration leaves a lot to be desired

Female narrator tells the story as if it’s a news cast rather than a romance - the story is fantastic but would be better read in my own voice

Holy-Plot-Twist

It was good. A 3-3.5 Star kind "good", until that plot twist. Now a good solid 4, and on to the next book, PRONTO.
