About this listen

The New York Times best-selling author of On Dublin Street returns to the bar where it all began with Braden and Joss for a white-hot new novella full of passion and drama.

When he’s not working at the club, Craig Lanaghan looks out for his mother and little sisters. So when it comes to women, all he wants is a good time. But once Rain Alexander walks into his life, there’s no denying that this woman could be worth much more than a one-night stand...

Rain’s lifelong regret is having left her sister Darcy alone years ago with a guardian who turned out to be abusive. So when Darcy’s boyfriend publicly humiliates her in a cruel way, Rain’s overprotective instincts kick in and she follows him to Club 39 - where she meets a guy who just might be her perfect match.

The chemistry between Rain and Craig is explosive, but Rain is out for revenge, and refuses to be sidetracked by flirtation. As things between them heat up, she’ll have to make a heartbreaking choice between giving in to the man of her dreams or putting her sister’s happiness first...

Couldn’t put the book down!

An incredible story. I felt as if I was right there! Realistic with a little romance.

Couldn't stop listening! Amazing!!

Samantha Young is one of my favorite authors. She write stories that are believeable and show a wide range of emotions. She writes the most delicious amazing love stories ever. This novella was just as amazing as her other books in the series. Although it was much shorter than her other books it still felt complete and the romance was very well developed. The story was different, interesting and one I will listen again and again.

Narrators: Elle Nederhorst is a repeat narrator in this series and she has done an amazing job each time. Her Scotish accent is perfect and she adds so much emotion to the stories. I've actually never listened to an audiobooks with two narrators (dual POV) and it was a very pleasant experience. I normally do not like male narrators and avoid books narrated by men but Kieron Murray was excellent!!! I actually looked for more books narrated by him and there were none. I hope he continues to narrate stories cause I'll be looking forward to listening to him again. This is a MUST listen! Don't think about it and get this book.

GREAT ADDITION TO THE DUBLIN STREET SERIES!

After what I consider a slow start, this book became very hot and very good!!! Although I was not a fan of the male narrator, the female narrator was superb. The passion sparked between Rain and Craig is epic. I've adored all of the characters introduced from this series, with each having a unique set of circumstances that draw you in and make you root for their HEA despite the odds. Bravo Samantha Young!

A cute little romp

One King's Way was a great cherry on top of the On Dublin Street series. This novella gives great insight into the depth of Craig more than just a flirt who sleeps around. We get to see a side that's a bit romantic and protective of his family. And when he meets Rain, it all changes for him. Craig reflects on the love he saw between his parents before his father passed to garner advice and insight into how he should handle his feelings for Rain.

"...he'd made peace with that loss a long time ago, too. But there were moments when the grief was sharper, tasting more bitter some days than others."

I really enjoyed Craig and Rain's short tale. This is one of my favorite series, so it was nice to get a little extra taste now that the series has come to an end.

On Dublin Street Series Continues on One Kings Way

Samantha Young has written over 30 books, however, the on Dublin Street series is the only one that I enjoy as an adult contemporary romance. The others seem to feel juvenile or are PNR (magic, vampire, changelings, sci-fi, etc.) that don't appeal to me.

One Kings Way is a fantastic addition to the series. I love listening to these books in order each time a new book comes out, I was unable to do that at this time. However, it can be listened to as a standalone – one just may not be able to appreciate the peppering of characters from previous books in the series. But don't let it stop you from listening.

I liked both of the narrators and they did a smashing job

Notes: strong language, mature themes

Stars: I am back to giving five stars across all the categories

Fantastic

Samantha Young
is one of my favourite authors. The on Dublin Street series is exceptional and this addition to the series didn't disappoint. My only complaint is that it was over too soon.

This was a real challenge.

I am no prude but the vocabulary in these books is pathetic. If I hear that f word one more time I'll spit. There has got to be a better way to Express yourself.
