The New York Times best seller.
There are a few unbreakable rules in the game.
Stay collected. Compartmentalize. Think your next move through.
Never let your heart dictate your tactics.
The heart is impulsive.
The heart makes bad decisions.
The heart doesn’t see the long game.
The heart may have decided to get Adam back, but when the endgame comes, the heart’s going to be the one to break.

Doing the hard work

I absolutely love this story. The love in both characters is endless. The uncertainty between the both of them gave depth to their bond.
This!

If you could sum up Separation Games in three words, what would they be?
I couldn't wait for this book to come out in audible because the first one capitivated me. If you ever had a relationship that was perfect but something was missing, then listen to these two books. I cringed at some of the "scenes," but I'm obviously attracted to the "life." If you can step outside of yourself and let C D Reiss take you inside of these characters (and save the judgments) then you might learn something about yourself. I personally couldn't stop listening to both this and the first one. Reiss knows how to keep up your interest. The narration was great. One of the most thought provoking books....

I recently came across a quote by Colette Werden:
It’s OK if you fall down and lose your SPARK. Just make sure that when you get back up, you rise as the whole damn FIRE.
In MARRIAGE GAMES, Diana and Adam Steinbeck’s seemingly perfect five year marriage falls apart. She feels there’s something missing and he’s been hiding a dominant part of who he is. They lost their SPARK.
In SEPARATION GAMES, Diana has found the SPARK that Adam ignited in her and she manages to convince him that together they can burn the whole f*#king world down with their FIRE. Two people who can’t keep their hands and minds off each other stripping their emotions bare to reveal who they really are …. Made for each other.
Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York are brilliant giving voice to her words and my Girl Crush on CD Reiss has grown exponentially. ♥♥
Profoundly Moving and Scorching HOT!!!

Everything unresolved from the first book is addressed here.
Elena Wolfe has a beautifully soothing voice for the female characters and a surprisingly sexy male voice as well.
And Sebastian York definitely has the dirty talking, seductive, dominant character that makes us blush down pat.
I enjoyed the narration in the first book better because Elena did all the female part's while Sebastian did all the male part's.
I don't know why this book wasn't done that way?
This book was a few chapters of each narrator doing both part's.
when something works really well,
why change it?
Both book's are equally hot and credit Worthy though.

Sometimes you have to fight for what you want. Sacrifices must be made. And sometimes, you have to let it go... But I refuse to say more.
I laughed, and I cried even more throughout this magnificent duet. As I said in my review of book one, just when you want to throat-punch Adam, take a breath, then give him a chance. You won't be disappointed. I wasn't. I'm in love with this series! Even if it made me step outside my typical comfort zone. Maybe that's what I needed? Ya never know.
The narrators? What can I say? These two together are almost always one-click buys for me, Five heart-stopping stars!
What would you sacrifice for love?
