Three full-length novels of filthy, forbidden romance....
The Virgin and the Beast
Everything has its price, even virginity...and Xavier is willing to pay.
Hurt So Good
It’s the single most forbidden of female fantasies. Most are ashamed to speak it out loud, much less ask for it, and usually so is Miranda...until Dylan Lennox comes along.
Daddy’s Sweet Girl
Sarah gets a new step-father...and a new step-brother. Family ties have never been so twisted.
Please note that these books are dark romances with intense scenes and include fantasies of dubious consent.

Very misleading title, you think you’re going to get seriously hot and dark erotic story instead it is a traditional romance with barely steamy, dominant scenes that leave you more frustrated than anything else. I ended up returning this book because of the first story.
Let’s talk about the cons:
The story has a lot of holes.
Definitely lack of steamy erotic scenes and only vaginal penetration.
Female character seems initially smart but as the story progresses she just givens in without any questions.
This is so tame that you would think 50 Shades of Grey is hardcore porn lol. And I’m not even a fan of that book.
If you want something really steamy check out Buttons & Pain by Penelope Sky now that will get you so hot and bothered you’ll be like I want the next book ASAP! Yes it is dark and the intimacy between characters is OMG so crazy good but again it is not for everyone.
The pros
The narrator was Amazing and how she delivered some lines were ridiculously funny but I’m not looking for a comedy but a dark steamy romance.
Not Taboo just a romance story

Book 1- as much as I love taboo stories, this one bothered me almost to the point of quitting listening. The consent just wasn’t there. I ended up liking who they both evolved into being but it bothered me greatly that she almost appeared to have Stockholm Syndrome. The biggest issue I had was the gaps in the story.. missing months, missing changes, so many opportunities I expand the story. This is a recurring observation on all 3 books.
Book 2- I think I liked this one the most but so many questions were not answered, gaps not filled, I feel like the ending of the story was not the end.
Book 3- This one had less gaps where you were questioning why the author didn’t expand but I felt like the climax of the story could have been drawn out more. Also, so many questions were not answered in the end. It just… ended.. and I needed an epilogue or one more chapter closing out the story.
If you are like me and wanting to give up in the first part of the first story… keep going.. it wasn’t the best book by far but it wasn’t terrible.
So many missing holes

book 2: this one I found kind of forgettable. I do think this stereotyped abuse survivors. yes your body does become accustomed to abuse and react as it is "trained" to. but not every Survivor becomes a sub and she only half assed her so-called therapy. if you actually put the work into it it is possible to "retrain your mind and body" and I think this part was left out. if she was truly embarrassed or ashamed there is help. but for the sake of the "story" btsm, kink it's nothing to be ashamed of. neither is what the male character was feeling. as long as it is consensual and as long as it is a safe space I do not feel that it should be considered a dark romance. that just stereotypes and puts a bad light on the BDSM and kink communities. so once again I would call it gray.
book 3: I did like the strop it is indeed taboo in American culture. but once again BDSM and kink is not dark romance it's simply BDSM romance or Kink Romance. I did like the twists and appreciated that it was not a long book with just any extras thrown in to make it longer. I did like how the book ended and I would tend more to say this one was a little darker than the other two. I do feel this book needed a trigger warning specifically for anyone who has been coerced and manipulated into compliance in their own rape.
my reviews normally consist of loved, it liked it, the narrator was the only saving grace or don't even bother. but I felt this one needed a longer review since it specifically claims to be a dark romance taboo book and I felt it did not live up to its trope or the title. I would also like to let you know if you're interested in dark romances looking to these authors:
