And as he gains her trust, the passion between them grows, as does Ty's insistence that Jenna should start living for herself. Great sex!

So refreshing to read an author who writes great sex so often. I could feel the passion between the characters as if it were my own. The characters also had a great story line outside of the sex. I'll be looking for more from Jaci.

Falling in love or lust?

The cover convinced me to get this book, yep, watching that HOT male body while listening to a contemporary romance story was exactly what I wanted. And although the story was ok I did not love it. The heroine was annoying and her constant whining got to me. The overall plot of this story was underwhelming and I did not believe the romance. The couple had lots of hot sex but I did not see the love developing... The narrator was ok too. Did not add much emotion to the story, but then again, it was not that emotional anyway... I guess I was expecting a hot sports and romance story like the one from Rachel Gibson but this one was all about sex...

Last Reilly sibling finds love and courage to reach for her dreams....

Jenna runs the family sports bar but dreams of being a singer. She avoids most dates especially with sports figures....until Tyler. The story starts slow and most of the drama is about fear and self worth. Lucy Malone is ok but another maridcould

Tyler Likes to Hurt Jenna

While most of this "hockey romance" was light & fun, there were disturbing moments of violence and domination. Hitting another human being is always wrong, regardless of the current trend in popular fiction that promotes sexual violence against women.

Tyler has a violent streak, which he mainly controls by playing hockey. Tyler, while usually charming and friendly, had no problem being aggressive and degrading to Jenna when he felt the urge. The creepy part was how he honestly believed he was a normal guy with real feelings for Jenna.

Jenna (tattooed bartender) was a huge disappointment, a pathetic wimp who played the martyr with her family, in her career and with Tyler. She actually thought that accepting physical abuse was a sign of strength, rather than a lack of self respect. It was sad and depressing how Jenna thought so little of herself.

In many ways. Jaci Burton is an incredibly talented author. Too bad she doesn't write about a confident woman who expects to treated with respect, gentleness and admiration.

GREAT

I wasn't sure i was going to like this book but as it got into it. I couldn't stop listening to it. It was great. The only thing that I don't like is that this was BOOK 3 of the series and the other 2 are not in audible format. That's a real bummer.

So happy for Jenna!!

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ty, by far!! He knew exactly what Jenna wanted and needed, and made sure she got it all. Ty knew what he wanted, but knew he couldn't push too fast so he sat back and let things happen to Jenna so she would figure out what she really wanted on her own.

Great addition to the series! :D

4.5 stars

This was a great story. I really liked Jenna and Ty and this was a great addition to the series.

Jenna is the sister of Gavin and Mick (the heroes from the previous 2 books in the series). The poor woman grew up with sports and is still surrounded by sports in her life. She's tired of constant sports and it doesn't help that she's the one in the family running the family sports bar. She has things she's rather be doing with her life and isn't particularly happy but doesn't feel she can do what she really wants. I liked Jenna's character but I will admit that she lets her fear run (or maybe I should say ruin) her life. She lets her fears interfere with her life so much that when she meets Ty she wont date him just because he's in to sports (which is one of her defense mechanisms). Fortunately Ty isn't easily brushed off.

Ty is great! He's a good guy and is willing to make an effort if he thinks something is worth the challenge. This ends up being a very good thing when dealing with Jenna. When they first start to date, Ty wasn't looking for anything serious (he never planned to fall in love) but he finds that he can't resist Jenna and wants to find out more about her...what makes her tick. He's very intuitive and notices that Jenna isn't totally happy in her life. Being the good guy he is, Ty tries to find out what Jenna's missing so he can make her life better (sweet guy!). Unfortunately she tends to fight him at every turn.

Ty and Jenna start out casual and Jenna insists they aren't dating but as things progress she finally admits they are dating. There seems to be a dance between Ty and Jenna, he gets closer and she moves away...then she moves in...It's kind of like 1 step forward then 2 back except they do make some progress (if slow) so it's more like 2 steps forward and 1 back. They do make gains, their relationship moves forward and emotions between them deepen. Ty wants Jenna happy and finds out what she really wants (something she's hidden from everyone, even her family) and tries to encourage her to do it. This tends to be a very delicate dance but I thought that Ty making the effort for Jenna was just so sweet (new book boyfriend right here!).

Obviously there are some issues but Ty and Jenna do manage to work things out. I really liked how the story ended and was happy with the conclusion. This was a great addition to the story. I'd recommend it. Thumbs up! :D

It Was A Close Miss

Characters were great, narrator was superb, but story started dragging towards the end. Otherwise it would have deserved 5 stars.

Loved it!

Love how Jenna is a strong willed women yet she relents in the bedroom. She knows she's a women and yet can hold her own. Ty is a manly man and don't bow down to her...Well worth the credit. Narrator was spot on. Can not wait for the next book.
