What begins as an unexpected holiday affair, soon turns into a passionate and complicated romance between Elle (Giselle) and The Frenchman (Sinclair). The attraction is undeniable and the chemistry sizzles between these two. As this is book one of three, we are only getting started but trust me, things are going to be intense, hot, juicy, dramatic, painful, twisty, raw, angsty and excruciatingly emotional. This book is all from Elle's POV so you do get a much more intense, in-depth look into her emotions, while with Sin, you just get tantalizing glimpses. Some may find issue with the cheating aspect of this story and be turned off by it. However, the author is completely upfront about it from the start. So, if you're not open to it, I will say that this isn't the right book for you. I myself am not a fan of it, and yet this book had no problem with sucked me in and having me hooked. To me these two came across as soulmates that have been hidden from each other and then fate let them trip over one another at the worst possible time it could. A good amount of steam, and a touch of BDSM brings plenty of spice to the book. In the end my takeaway is this: I wish they hadn't been having an affair, but I loved them together. I'm invested, but I'm torn. It is impossible not to love how they soothed the pain they each had suffered, lightened each other's spirits and brought joy into the other's heart, but I also know there is a lot of heartache, drama and angst on the horizon. Regardless, I'm absolutely here for it!! I enjoyed the narration. The performance was excellent, and I found the voice easy to listen to.

Giana Darling did a great job on The Affair, the book has a great plot, the story was filled with emotions. Giselle and Sinclair were strong characters, their journey was a rollercoaster. From the moment Sinclair and Elle had meet, their was an instant connection, the attraction was strong between them, their chemistry was steamy, they were good together but their path's was a bumpy one.
Charlotte Claremont did a good job on narrating this story, her voice was clear, she was spoke well.
I enjoyed this Audio, it was great.

Just as this title states, this book is about an erotic one-week affair between a beautiful young Italian woman and a cold yet passionate and controlling billionaire. It starts off sizzling with steam and their story only sets fire from there. It is erotic, intense, and the evolution of Giselle and her sexuality and self-confidence was what drove this audiobook for me. Sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone to truly enjoy a story, and this was one that definitely pushed my boundaries. I found myself mesmerized and completely consumed in the affair between Giselle and Sinclair. I'm ready for book 2 in this trilogy!

This book is a big ol chefs kiss. Honestly, I think this might be one of my all-time favorite books by this author. I don’t know what it is about Sinclair and Giselle but these two have branded my heart forever. Their instant chemistry and fiery passion radiate off the pages. I don’t know what it is about cheating books but they seem to just be my jam. And I know a majority of romance readers, for obvious reasons, don’t like cheating books but this shit is like catnip for me. I suppose it’s the forbidden aspect of the actual cheating, but we won’t dive into that 🤷🏻‍♀️😅 I will say listening to this book on audio was an amazing journey and I highly recommend it. This narrator is fantastic. I don’t believe that I’ve ever listened to any other books that this narrator has narrated before, but she did a phenomenal job at bringing Giselle to life!

My Original Review:

The second I started reading this book, I knew I was going to be hooked. Sinclair and Giselle had instant chemistry and like them I too fell in love with these two from the beginning. I don't even know how to put my feelings into words. I feel like you have to go in with an open mind with this book. I mean the title tells you all you need to know. The Affair. And for a second, just a little second, I was hesitant about it. But I pushed past it and dove head first and then never came back up for air. This book, in the best way possible, sucked the life out of me and had my emotions all over the place. I’m so ready for book two, so here we go.

I know I know, the cheating word is going to make some people not even give this book a chance. I also want to say that this is fiction and that is a unpopular opinion. Fiction is not real life and I would never want this to happen in real life to anyone. That said though I listen or read things that really push my boundaries and I loved every single second of listening to this book. This is the story of Giselle who is a artist and has been living the life in Paris but now the time has come for a serious change in her life. Elle is going to however take a little time for herself to regroup and relax on a little Mexican vacation and there she meets a man named Sin who is about to change he whole entire life. Weather that is for the better is something you have to listen and find out if it happens. I can't say that Sin hasn't been in a long term relationship and this vacation for him brings a huge surprise in Elle. This is a week filled with discovery for both of them and it is agreed upon from the very beginning that it is a week of no-strings-attached anything for either of them. But Sin really rocks Elle's world and they both discover things that they never knew were possible or that they might discover that life can be much better for either one of them that it has ever been. But, it's just a week right? What could possibly go wrong? I really loved listening to this book. I thought that Charlotte Claremont did a fantastic job narrating this book too. You do not want to miss this one and I for on can not wait to listen to the next one.

I love forbidden and taboo but even if you don’t and cheating is hard for you this book will be ok for you. it’s a beautiful love story. trapped by family obligations he is miserable & she’s never known happiness… their chemistry is beautiful and what we all long for. I wish this book was longer but I suppose it’s time for book 2… the conflict part ugh this is truly a beautiful love story. I love the narrator, the only way it would be better is if it was duel narration.

This was an easy listen and very captivating! The relationship between the FMC and MMC could be developed a bit more besides instant attraction and sex - but I guess that was the point of a “no strings affair” so NVM :)

The narration was great, but the accents were inconsistent and therefore confusing as to who was talking. I thought accents were good when they were there though!

I am annoyed that this story is in 3 parts though. I don’t know if I be up getting the rest. I can’t help but feel taken advantage of when suspenseful books are split where you have to buy more and more to get the whole story.

Ooof goodness, I. AM. BLUSHING! Wow, it has definitely been a while since I've read this book (I think it was back in 2017 when I 1st read this book) and ohhhhhh god, was I NOT READY for it... I mean, subconsciously I knew what happened, when & why but experiencing this story many years later it surely made me remember why I loved this series so much back then.

It's safe to say; that this may not be everyone's cup of tea and I completely understand it. However; I do think about being on Giselle's place and I cannot say with certainty I would not accept to an entanglement such as this one. There is no way beating around the bush, this is a forbidden romance. So, if this is not for you that's okay but if you are open to read the story of two people who against their personal beliefs and whatnot, decide to embark themselves in a all-consuming, extremely passionate and utterly consuming relationship; then this might be just what you are looking for!

PS: DYING FOR THE NEXT AUDIOBOOK! I am going to devour it!

Wow! This book blew me away. All it took was one week for their lives to change. Perfect strangers but, Sinclair's offer was too good for Giselle to turn down. The absolutely fantastic read.
