About this listen

The best-selling erotic romance series from Delilah Fawkes is now available as an audiobook for your listening pleasure!

Isabeau Willcox is just the temp at the front desk, so when the mysterious, sexy, and notoriously ill-tempered CEO, Chase Drake, asks her to be his executive assistant, she's sure there's been some sort of mistake. However, Mr. Drake wants her, and Mr. Drake always gets what he wants.

When she enters his employ, she agrees to be at his beck and call, to be his, but what exactly does that entail? When he punishes her for breaking his rules by bending her over his desk, she realizes she may be in for more than she bargained for.

Isabeau is introduced into Chase Drake's world, learning about his darker side, including his secret sex dungeon and deliciously naughty toys that spark her imagination and make her knees weak. He shackles her and makes her his slave, bringing her to heights she never imagined. But when he asks to make their arrangement more permanent, she remembers how quickly he's dismissed previous assistants, and wonders if she can give him the trust he craves.

A bad boy business partner, a dangerous secret, and Isabeau's conflicted heart threaten to end it all before it's even begun. Suspenseful action and a romance that will leave your heart, and other places, aching for more weave throughout this story of two different lovers from two very different worlds.

Good story not so great narration

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

I liked the story even though at times it was predictable. There is not enough to build up to the characters first interaction together.

What did you like best about this story?

I like the lovemaking scenes. They were kind of hot and well-written.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Anne Johnstonbrown?

I think a younger sounding narrator would have been a better choice for this book. The narrator that was chosen seems that she may be a lot older than the girl in the book and it kind of throws off the sexiness of the novel.

Do you think The Billionaire's Beck and Call: The Complete Series needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

This is not the complete series...it is only book one of three.

Wrong Narrator for this book

I felt like Mother Goose or Mary Poppins was reading to me. Her voice was too mature and her "male" voice was even worse. Kinda ruined the entire story for me.

Cute

Cute story, easy read, and easy to following along with. The book hit on every note I usually want in a story such as this. Although I did think the relationship moved along really quickly, I loved the chemistry between the two. There were moments of self-consciousness, doubt, betrayal and so forth. I enjoyed the story.

Not what I expected

The story enjoyable. which each chapter, I enter to know what was going to happen to the characters. Wondering if Mr. Drake was going to fall in love with Ms. Wilcox. Was expecting Lex to screw his partner over in the company. Overall it was a nice story. I enjoyed listening to it.

Intense and emotional

I liked this very much, it was intense and filled with emotions, I had it in audiobook and I was a little disappointed by the voice reading but not so much so I stopped listening.

The storyline is good, good build up and nice ending, I always like a HEA.

Well described characters and good love scenes made this in to a fun read.

At times I didn't like mr. Drake because he was a little to arrogant but he grew on me. And Isabeau was a little mouse in the beginning in my opinion but she ended up being a strong women.

5 stars and I would like to read more from this author.

Needs a new narrator

The narrator spoke like a small child, which considering the nature of the story was incredibly creepy. There was very little plot development. It was a simple story line, which made it easy to listen to without much thought.

It’s ok.

I like the fact it was an easy listen. Made it easy to follow while working and not having to think too much about the plot since it was overtly obvious.
Didn’t really care for the narrator. I felt more like I was being read a children’s book or something. Not sure the narrator has ever heard a man use his sexy voice before. She kinda fell short on that. But otherwise an okay book.

Great book

Would you consider the audio edition of The Billionaire's Beck and Call: The Complete Series to be better than the print version?

Yes in some ways listening to it makes it seem more alive

Which scene was your favorite?

When they finally admit to themselves they love each other and that it's not going away

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes it was and I basically did finish it in one sitting. Just couldn't turn it off, had to find out what happened next and then had to find out how it ended

Any additional comments?

Can't wait for the next in the series

It's been done before

If you have listen to "Anything he wants" by Sarah Fawkes, well then you have listen to this too.. I don't know if these Fawkes ladies are siblings, but their books read quite similar. I have to admit, I liked "Anything he wants" way way way more.

I found myself skipping chapter just to get to the point.

Narration was ok.. nothing great, but not extremely horrid...

maybe a sale... save your credits for something better.. the smex was not all that!

Boring

Unfortunately this is one of the most boring books I've ever read. I found the characters uninteresting and hard to like.
