About this listen

He thought I owned him. He thought he loved me, that I was enough. But this animal, this sex god who could drive me crazy and steal my heart in the same breath, he would never fully be mine. It was impossible. No one ever owned a God.

One year. I have one year to find out more about this man I am marrying. More about his family. More about our sex, and all of the dirty, delicious places it will take me. I thought I'd spend this year making a decision. I never thought the decision would be taken from me, snatched right from my naive little hands.

Now this is how you write a unique story

This series was my first Torre read, and wow ... she didn't disappoint. A few people I follow raved about her books and I decided to take a chance. SOOOOOOO glad I did. What talent!

From the mix of first, second, and third person narration (VERY GENIUS!!) and the carefully, well-developed storyline and exciting plot to the edgy sex scenes, I was in awe of this work. At first when the rules were thrown in randomly, I was confused. Then I figured it was some sort of foreshadowing and decided to hang in there, cos with so many 6-star reviews from intelligent readers there had to be some truth to their opinions, right? Well, so glad I held on.

Talk about a unique plot and a non-predictable story! Wow!

I listened to the audiobooks (all three in three days! Work? What's that?) and I would highly recommend this to lovers of erotica who don't mind a little swinging. :-) Very intelligent read/listen!

Love Devra's sexy voice. She took Books 2 & 3 to a whole new level.

Wow wow just wow!!!!

What a GREAT roll coaster HOT story! Alessandra knocked the ball out of the park on this series!!!!!! Edge of my seat. A curve balls throughout that makes you obsessed to see how it plays out. I did prefer the first two books narrator as she felt more like Julia in my mind and it was strange switch for the third book, but I did get over it quickly. If you want a compelling, completely different story this is it and will be on on FAVS list!!!

A must read!!

3rd book in the series didn't disappoint. This was another great book by Alessandra Torre. It had everything you expect in a Erotic romance.

Skipped to the 3rd

I didn’t read book one and two. So imagine my surprise upon the love scenes! If your not into ménage then pass on this hot number. None of my friends have craved that much sex so many times seeming hours apart. How does she get anything done? If the F word wasn’t thrown around so much you would notice that the authors vocabulary is expansive and thoughtful. Although I don’t want to hear “Game Face” ever again. I assume the author comes from wealth as it seems to bring happiness in 2/2 of her novels I’ve read. Spoiler. But it still seems inconceivable that law enforcement and doctors make house calls even if you are wealthy.

Best of the series!!!

STORY: 5 stars
PERFORMANCE: 5 stars
OVERALL: 5 stars

I enjoyed this book MUCH more than any other book in this series. Like the others, INNOCENCE #3 does not contain unexpected twists or awe inspiring, jaw dropping plots that I have learned to expect from Alessandra Torre, yet this book came closer than the others. The huge difference between the first book in the series and this one is remarkable. I don't know how Ms. Torre did it or if she was changed in someway during the years between these books but it's almost like a lightbulb went off and history was made.... in this book, I finally saw the clever, unique Torre writing style I love. Also impressive in this third and final installment is the incredibly erotic, descriptive, HOT HOT HOT sex scenes! At times, it was impossible not to, "see" an image of the characters and what they were doing due to Ms. Torre's uncanny ability to articulate every nuance, position, sound, etc. Alessandra, you rocked the sex world in this book! And, true colors came out; The creative story line demonstrates that you are capable of writing more than a basic, average romance!

I listened to INNOCENCE#1-3 via Audible audiobooks. The first 2 books were narrated by MacKenie Cartwright; I had given her performance 5 star ratings for each of the first two books. However, after listening to Devra Woodward narrate this book, I can't imagine anyone else capable of filling this role (sorry MacKenzie)! I've never heard a narrator fit a role or read a book more perfectly! If I could give her performance more than 5 stars, I would!

Disappointing end to a great series

The narrator changed for the last book in the series and it was NOT a positive change! She lacked the energy and storytelling of the other narrator so the story dragged and never seemed to get the same momentum as the other books.

The end was lacking energy and better closure. Seemed an abrupt ending without the nice bow on the end I expected.

Good Story, Awful Narrator

It’s like listening to a whiny, slow talking, teenager tell the story. The author ties up story lines nicely too.

Narrator is not as high energy as volume 1 and 2

Would you be willing to try another one of Devra Woodward’s performances?

May be.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

no

Any additional comments?

Devra Woodward's pace is too slow in comparison with narrator on volume 1 and 2 .
