About this listen

Two worlds of wealth and passion call to Nora Sutherlin and, whichever one she chooses, it will be the hardest decision she will ever have to make. Unless someone makes it for her....

Wes Railey is the object of Nora's tamest yet most maddening fantasies, and the one man she can't forget. He's young. He's wonderful. He's also thoroughbred royalty and, reuniting with him in Kentucky, she's in his world now. But this infamous New York dominatrix is no simpering Southern belle, and Nora's dream of fitting into Wesley's world is perpetually at odds with the relentlessly seductive pull of Søren - her owner, her lover, the forever she cannot have. At least, not completely.

Meanwhile Nora's associate Kingsley Edge is only too happy to take her place at Søren's feet during her hiatus. Søren is the only man Kingsley has ever loved, and their dark, shared history has forged a bond that neither the years - nor Søren's love for Nora - can break. But a new threat from an old adversary is forcing Kingsley to confront the past, reminding him that he must keep his friends close, and his enemies closer.

Ask any fan and they’ll tell you that it’s not always easy to find something that has the same kind of tension and payoff as the Fifty Shades trilogy. Here are some books and series that fans of Fifty Shades are sure to love.

Once you start, you can't stop

Tiffany is my favorite author, you just cannot go wrong with her writing, her story line or her characters. Someone please lock her away to write more and more and more, because I can't get enough.

great read

loved the story line but the audible reader was rough to listen to. the reading felt robotic. toward the end, the charismatic details began to come through and became less robotic. overall, the book was great.

Terrible narrator!

Stop changing up the narrators! This one was awful. Actually I take it back, I hope it’s changed again for the next book because this one was so bad. Thank goodness the story keeps you coming back or I’d not have finished this one.

Not the fantasy view of erotica

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Honestly it took me a while to be in the mood to compete the book, it is good, well written, exasperating but not a waste of time.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love Wesley and Kingsley, and most of the characters are intriguing, Kingsley’s and his love for Soren is too painful but I want Kingsley to have his love and Wesley just breaks my heart with his pure love for Nora, he should have what he wants with all the truth Nora gives him. I want to beat her with a riding crop if she doesn’t give him more, and made more effort to stay with him. Teach him some Kink they can enjoy, he will come into his own. Wall sex!

What three words best describe Robin Rowan’s voice?

Not sure on this question, I’m not sure any one person can capture the voices of each character, but I could listen to her.

Did The Prince inspire you to do anything?

I’m inspired to read the next book, because I want to know, this was a cliffhanger. I want Kingsley to finally have Soren, But can’t Soren watch some hardcore porn and take a Viagra or something, LOL. too much pain.

Any additional comments?

There was a statement (Reisz) Kingsley made “they used labels like Dominant and submissive, and brandied about slogans like Safe, Sane…. but Kingsley knew it was all artifice, window dressing, self-deception.

I guess I’ll read the next book, Damn Reisz pulled me in again.

Great story, awful narrator

I really enjoy this series, but this narrator almost killed the book for me. The narrator sounds like Siri (yes the Apple smart assistant app) and its so frustrating. She is also awful at giving accents; Kingsley rarely has an accent at all, and Wesley sounds like a backwater redneck rather than an educated man from the south.

If you can get past that, this book is a lovely continuation of the series with a shocking ending and an infuriating cliffhanger. If you liked the previous books in this series, you will probably enjoy this one as well.

The voice sounded computer generated

The voice sounded computer generated - COMPLETELY distracting. These are some of my favorite books... audible’s treatment of them is disappointing

✫✫ 4 Stars ✫✫

While I had high hopes for Wesley's story I have to admit it was a little less than I expected. Not that it wasn't a great book but I just had very high hopes. The story line was good, the sex only mildly hot and the character chemistry was non existent in this book. To be perfectly honestly I felt like the characters were forcing themselves together in this book because it's what they thought they were supposed to do. I like them best as friends. Their banter is great. I loved the back story we finally get between King & Soren. There story is the oldest and its very powerful.

The narration.... not good at all. I honestly almost stopped listening but instead just sped it up since it was robotic. The narration choices for this series are seriously lacking in my opinion. This book series is amazing but the audiobook series is less than good so far.

Loops all the characters

The book tells the history of Soren & King plus the love story of Nora & Westley. I had to fast forward through some of it. I was bored.

The best in the series so far, hate the narrator.

This series gets better and better with each book. The relationship between Soren and Kingsley, past and present, unfolds. Their loyalty to each other runs deep, and we find out why. I could not get enough of their story and found myself thinking about it while at work for 2 days. It is erotic without it being about sex, violence without hate or harm, and love despite the odds. I was not a fan of either characters in the first two books. But now I love them.

The other story is Nora in the present, sent away by Soren to be with Wesley. The extent of Soren’s love for her knows no bounds. He is willing to let Nora explore her love for the beautiful Wesley. And Wesley has never gotten over Nora. His best friend, his love. He was devastated when Nora made him leave. Nora finally gets to know who Wesley really is.....The Prince of Kentucky. They explore their relationship.

Then these two stories come together. Someone is out to do harm to Soren, Kingsley, and Nora. A mystery that started in the past, and has reared its ugly head in the future.

While this was the best in the series so far, the narrator was the worst. Many times she sounded like an automated narrator. And the inconsistency in accents was frustrating. Soren is supposed to have an English/Danish accent. He pretty much speaks American English. Kingsley is French. Yet he speaks American English and occasionally falls into French accent or French proper. While Kingsley CAN speak English without an accent, he does so only if he has too, because it’s exhausting. However the French Kingsley speaks sounds like a mash between French and German by the narrator. I love this series, but the different narrators for each book is a sore spot for me. I tried not to let the narrator spoil it for me. Perhaps I should have just read the books.
