Sweet deviant demigods! Never have I...I just. This author combination is friggin' LETHAL! I knew full well this book was going to go for the throat and I was ready and willing. MORE so for the series opening because the anthology blip had SO much promise!

While Santos is still baby, after a few read throughs Blaze has become another favorite. He's my grumpy little puppy. My gruppy 🖤.
All of these characters were written in a way that you fell in love with them immediately. There was no slow burn, it was instant inferno and I was ready for the flames. It spread hot and fast and engulfed everything in it's wake.

The book was flawless in it's transition from chapter to chapter, had we not known this was a co-author project we would have never picked up on it. Absolutely seamless. This vigilante and her harem are to die for! I am dying for this series!!

The Reaper Incarnate is a dark, twisted ride with blood, lust, and vengeance at every turn. Selene, our psycho vigilante heroine, is on a mission, and she’ll stop at nothing to make predators pay. She’s fierce, she’s unhinged, and her new “friends”—Zander, Blaze, Santos, and Darius—are just as wild and dangerous as she is. Each guy adds his own flavor of crazy, especially Santos, who steals scenes with his chaotic charm. The story dives into gritty, blood-soaked territory with unapologetic violence and steamy, knife-edge encounters. You’ll laugh, gasp, and maybe need a cold shower after this one. It’s raw, relentless, and addictively dark. Only read if you’re ready to embrace your shadow side—Selene and her crew won’t disappoint.

I have been looking for a book with a crazy harem member like Dessel in Den Of Vipers and I think I have found him in Santos.
The narrators also did a fabulous job. I can’t wait to start reading the next book.

I have seen this book quite a bit and thought to try it out on audio and boy was I so happy I did! This storyline and character definitely can get OTT but I laughed and cringed and swooned all in just the novella and continuously in the subsequent books that I am devouring (the whole series in a week haha).

I loved the unhinged characters and I was not expecting to like so many of them right off the bat haha. I think Xander is my favorite after this novella and it might changed later on, who knows 😈. I thought the premise was great. Yes it has dark themes and the character do unalive people. but there is humor in it so it doesnt feel as dark as it could have been (in a a good way, it kept me from spiraling with all the skin traffic). I enjoyed the banter between the guys but also between Selene and them. I didnt know there was going to be MM but boy was I happy for it (more to come in book 2’s review). I thought the steam was fabulous, the chemistry they all have is fantastic. I was happy to see the last withholding guy broke at the end but boy is he scary/intimidating (again more to come in book 2 haha). I appreciated the level of detail the authors gave the story, with the different subplots and the side characters and baddies that had to be taken out. Seeing Selene go from pretend airhead escort to a BA assassin was incredible. The gory stuff she did was striking and had a lot of surprises, but I was engaged the whole time and sad when he book was nearing its end. Couldnt get it less than 5 stars, that’s for sure ❤️

Narration was interesting! I have never listened to either of these narrators before but they are definitely on my radar now. I really liked the female narrator, she did an incredible job with our Reaper and all the conflicting emotions she was having because of her sister and her developing feelings for the guys. You could feel her will to save people, find her sister, and when she finds new strings to pull and avenues to try you rallied behind her. And her monologue with the guys was hilarious! The male narrator had to do I think an even harder job with so many unhinged characters hahahaha. I wasnt a huge fan all the time with Santos’ voice but I thought his personality was captured perfectly. He also did a great job with Blaise (Blaze? no clue since I listened haha) and being so intimidating and angry/frustrated but succumbing to her eventually hahaha. Narration got 4.5 rounded up to 5 because I enjoyed the renditions from both narrators 😊
