About this listen

(1 Curious Sub + 1 Dom in Denial) - Inhibitions = 4 Naughty Nights

Wildlife biologist Lindsey thought attending a fan convention with her new boyfriend, Ben, was a great idea - until their relationship imploded. Lindsey still lusts after her ex - but if he wants her, he’s going to have to prove he can give her what she needs.

Ben will do anything to win Lindsey back, and when he sees her in her skimpy black vinyl convention getup, he realizes what she’s been craving all along. And he’s inspired to finally give in to his own dark desire to take complete sexual control....

Lindsey is surprised by her reaction to Ben’s kinky new seduction techniques, and suddenly sees the brilliant-but-boring code guru in a different light. After several erotic encounters in hotel rooms and stairwells, she’s falling for him all over again. And wondering if the intimate connection will last once they head home....

Pretty good BDSM story with a Geek hero :D

4-4.5 stars

This was a very good story. I've read the first book in the series and loved it so I just had to read this next story in the series. I liked this one enough that I'll be reading the next in the series when it comes out.

Lindsey is on a trip to a convention with some friends. Unfortunately for her, one of the group is her ex-boyfriend Ben. She didn't really want Ben to be an Ex but he broke up with her for reasons that weren't really her fault so she can't do anything to fix it. The only thing Lindsey can do is try to deal with it as best as possible. I liked Lindsey's character. She's cool, strong but yet there's sweet and softness in there too.

Ben is kind of an idiot at times but I still really liked him. He broke up with Lindsey for complicated reasons that he eventually realizes wasn't even truly the case. He misses Lindsey and while on the trip to the convention, Ben finds himself considering where things went wrong between them. One thing he realizes is that Lindsey is interested in a BDSM relationship and had actually been trying to tell him that before the breakup. Ben realizes this is something he needs but has been rejecting in himself. When he realizes this is what Lindsey needs he knows he can't reject it any more and decides to explore it.

Ben actually goes to Ivan and Cami (the couple from the first book) to talk and gets some advice to get him started down the path. When Ben first starts using the "Dom vibe" on Lindsey I think they're both surprised at how much it works for them both. They start exploring BDSM with each other but there isn't a lot of discussion so neither knows exactly where this is going. Lindsey loves being back with Ben but afraid that the BDSM is something Ben's just doing to get back with her and wont want to keep it up long term. Because of her uncertainty she's unwilling to let Ben back in completely because she doesn't want to go through losing him all over again. Once he understands what's holding her back, Ben has to find a way to get her to have faith in him again.

Things do get worked out and Ben is able to prove himself to Lindsey. I was very pleased with the ending and really enjoyed the story overall. I'm looking forward to the next book in the series. I'd recommend this story. :D

Narration was good, story was 'eh

Maybe it was the length of this book...maybe it was the idea that a Dom could just be created by will....I don't know. The first book was methodical, it had a plot, it had relatable characters...this book was just so-so. The whole thing centered around a comic-con type event and the female lead was very into a BDSM comic book, but so far in her life she had just been vanilla. Enter her recently ex boyfriend who broke up with her because he was scared of his feelings, and he felt like she was holding herself back...which she was.

Anyway, the whole thing kind of escalated and they tried out a BDSM relationship based on what had happened in a comic book...which was just too unrealistic for me, I just couldn't get into it. Likable enough if you suspend reality but couldn't really get into it. I'll read more in the series though...I like the group of guys, they remind me of the show The Big Bang Theory, and I am a scientist so these books are kind of fun for me on another level.

It's less than $4 so I guess I would do it again...I don't feel cheated, I just want the magic of book one back.

Not what i like

Any additional comments?

I didn't care for the story line at all, so just got through about half of the book and gave up.
