About this listen

She follows all the rules. He’s going to teach her how to break them. After a heartbreaking tragedy, successful attorney Amelia Crowley has numbed herself to the pleasures of life, clinging to a specific set of rules, finding strength in order and organization. When she meets easy going surfer Ryan Fielding, that organized life is turned upside down by a sea of washboard abs and sun-kissed hair. Sexy and charismatic, Ryan looks for pleasure however he can find it in an effort to silence his own inner demons. Until Amelia crashed into his life the only thing he chased was the next wave. Refusing to break their connection and determined to break through her carefully crafted walls, Ryan sets out to throw out every rule in her book and show Amelia that pleasure can't be planned. Can Amelia let Ryan take the lead or will she cling to her rules and wipe out their chance at love?

Amazing book. 5+*************************

I enjoyed this book so much. It was so sweet and real from beginning to end.

The narration was perfect. Their voices and tones were incredible.

I can’t wait to read more books from this author. Also these 2 narrators deserve a recognition.

Wonderful story!

Love the writing, Tor, as always did a fantastic job. Charley, I feel was a lot better in this book at not being so breathy.

Pop Rocks

I loved this story and loved the narration! This story was a relatable one for me in a few ways. Woman struggling with depression meeting a man that helps her through it and helps her feel alive in so many ways. Great story!

One part sweet and one part funny!

“The Sun and the Moon” is a fantastic romance that is one part sweet and one part funny, while managing to attend to real life situations of depression and rediscovering your confidence and self love again. I loved everything about this story… Amelia’s self-consciousness in the bedroom is very relatable and Ryan is the perfect match for her—helping her become comfortable with her sexuality and breaking that silly list of rules, which I’m sure every woman at some point has had. The narration was perfection! I love when a book has a duet narration, and Tor Thom and Charley Ongel are an amazing pair. Charley always captures the fun and quirky personality of the female POV, and Tor adds that extra swoony, sexy voice that you desire from the male. They are quite the dynamic duo!

Great Narration

Let me start by saying that this book had a fabulous narration. Tor and Charley are a fantastic listen. On the story side, i hate to say it but i had a really hard time connecting with this story. The stories were well written, i think i just failed to connect with the characters in a meaningful way. I would gladly try another book from this author though.

Amazing, child! No Batteries Required!

Child, mama is gonna talk straight at you. That Leslie understands a woman with curves. Beautiful story. Now... the narrators are better than honey on cornbread. Tor Thom... no batteries required. That voice is a gift to me and my lady bits. Trust mama on this one. ;)

Love these narrators

I’m a fan of duet style narration and loved how Tor Thom and Charley Ongel did this book. I totally got involved in the story because of them.

It was an emotional book that had me wanting to scream at Amelia but most stories involve some angst otherwise why’d we listen to them right? Amelia becomes a better person with the patience shown to her from Ryan as their love story develops and I think they balance one another out. It’s funny with Amelia’s lists and I loved that Ryan helps her find herself and lets her become more sure of herself. It’s well written for such an intense subject matter and I believe it’s well worth a listen.

Books like this need to be listened to.

Each book in this series that I listen to continues to bring me a warm feeling. Leslie McAdam has this way of creating a bond between characters that is so incredibly strong that it's hard not to route for them from the beginning. Ryan, a coffee shop manager and Amelia, a lawyer are attracted to each other. When Amelia finally gets up the nerve to talk to Ryan, their explosive attraction comes out front and center. Amelia has had some tragic heartbreak in her life and is having a difficult time coming out of her depression. Ryan, who Amelia remembers from high school may be the perfect remedy. But will Amelia be able to trust in his love? The way that this story is woven, Amelia and Ryan are faced with stereotypes, dealing with the past, low self esteem, breaking the rules and following their dreams. McAdam is able to intertwine their incredible chemistry and some very sensitive subjects into a story that will captivate you and keep you listening. (And there are some really hot scenes). Take the journey with Ryan and Amelia, you will love it.

Charley Ongel and Tor Thom take you into Ryan and Amelia's world with such emotion, you are drawn completely into the story. The two immediately create their characters in way that is familiar, making the story feel like you are living it with this couple. The passion, pain and happiness is felt right to the core making it a wonderful listen.

Two thumbs up!

Amelia has such a long list of don'ts. She believes her life can only works if she sticks to her list until... a sexy surfer shows up in her life.

Another amazing story by Leslie McAdam. I love the twist in her stories and her style. She has a way with words I haven't seen with other authors.

The narrators have done an excellent job with the characters. Great performances and the perfect emotions in the tone of their voices. I love their work! Excellent!

Two thumbs up
