Savio Falcone has a few non-negotiable rules when it comes to girls.
They need to be hot as f--k.
Spread their legs without much prompting.
And leave as soon as the fun is over. Preferably minus any bitching or tears.
With his easy-going bad-boy attitude, a last name that rules over Las Vegas, and a body to die for, girls have always been at Savio’s disposal.
Unfortunately, the hottest girl in Vegas comes with a price Savio isn’t willing to pay. For Savio to get Gemma, he’d need to seal the deal and put a ring on her finger. Settling down is out of the question, no matter how hot a piece of ass waits at the altar.
Gemma Bazzoli has had a crush on Savio from the first moment she came face to face with his arrogant smile, but for him, she was always his best friend's annoying little sister - until her hard-earned curves catch even his attention.
But Savio likes it easy, and Gemma is anything but. When she’s promised to another man, Gemma resigns herself to the fact that the man she’s wanted all her life doesn’t want her badly enough.
Savio has to decide how much work he’s willing to invest, because bending the rules in his usual style might not be enough to get the girl that haunts his wet dreams.
Can be enjoyed as a stand-alone.

Don't read this book unless you fully grasp this concept: the major conflict for the main couple is the MMC's promiscuity and unwillingness to commit to one woman. Cheating in romance novels is typically a deal breaker for me, but I did not consider Savio's behavior in this book to be a deal breaker. He wasn't duplicitous and he didn't lie to anyone. Everyone was FULLY aware of his intention to continue sleeping around. He didn't hide it and he didn't lie about it. I know lots of reviews found this to be disgusting, but his openness about his behavior is preferable to going behind everyone's backs. Savio is true to himself and, when you put yourself in his shoes, it's easy to understand his behavior.
I enjoyed the progression of Savio's feelings for Gemma and his slow realization of what he feels for her. When he is confronted with losing her, he finally realizes how his behavior has been disrespectful and how he needs to change. This turnabout did not come out of nowhere. All throughout the story, Savio had been feeling foreign emotions in matters concerning Gemma, but he didn't know what they were, what to think about them or what to do.
A key moment I enjoyed in this story is Gemma's declaration she wanted to end the engagement. Her finally reaching the point where her childhood crush gave way was pivotal. She was in love with Savio, but she knew she deserved his respect. She wasn't willing to enter a marriage without commitment just to have him, which was not only important for her to realize, but Savio as well.
This is a solid 4 star read for me. I deducted one star for three reasons.
One: I would have liked to see more of the book devoted to Savio and Gemma after they were married. Their development as a married couple was the payoff for putting up with all of Savio's...everything, but it felt like this part was way too short.
Two: I wanted more from Savio's reaction to finding Gemma in the restaurant. He thought she was dead. Yes, it was sad and there was angst, but I expected more.
Three: There were several dropped plot points I wanted to see more of a resolution to. For example, the school incident with Gemma just went away with a vague mention of resolution.

My favorite in the series

This book took elements from several of Cora's books and highlighted a lot of dark and twisted norms present in Cora's Mafia world. And for the first time actions had consequences, while there is a happy ended, Cora didn't skate over the negativity that comes from being a part of the Mafia.
Tested my Patience...but
