About this listen

Emma

Since the man I thought I would be walking down the aisle with broke up with me, I’ve been focused on my business.

As the designer of Emma Belle Bridal Gowns, headlining the Blushing Bride Convention in Las Vegas has been the highlight of my year. And the legendary editor of The Dress magazine wants to feature me in their upcoming issue?

A dream come true.

And it’s my birthday! Nothing can get me down...except maybe my ex’s engagement splashed across social media.

What’s a girl to do other than drink a truck load of champagne and see a male revue show?

When a dancer pulls me up on stage, the chemistry between us is undeniable.

Forget holy matrimony, I’m going to lower my expectations for one night.

One night that just may last forever.

Griffin

One last night...

After 12 years raising my baby sister, Sophie, and dancing for Las Vegas’ top male revue in order to pay bills and ensure she graduates college, I’m ready to hang up my tearaway pants and start a new life.

My intentions were to protect Emma, a captivating and tipsy woman at the show, from doing something she regrets. With chemistry neither of us can deny, the night takes an unexpected turn, and we find ourselves waking up married.

It happens. We’ll correct our mistakes and move on.

But with a viral wedding video, our nuptials end up on Page Six, and Emma needs me in New York to play the part of doting new husband for a career-boosting interview.

I’ll play the part, do what she asks, then we’ll part ways.

Emma’s smart, enchanting, and beautiful...and completely unexpected.
But right now, I have nothing to offer a woman like her, let alone forever.

It is a full-length romance with a happily ever after that features sexually explicit material and profanity. This book is intended for 18+.

Perfect rom com

I'm going to end up with a book hangover on this one. I loved the premise. The drunken marriage has been done before but this one stole my heart from page one.

Griffin is the perfect example of a cinnamon roll. A man who can be sweet and say things that give you butterflies, and then has a dirty mouth in bed. Plus, Griffin was a male revue dance need I say more??

Emma was such a strong FMC. She was on the top of her game in her career, was confident in it, and she was all around a fun and lovable MC.

The banter between Griffin and Emma won me over. I could feel the chemistry from the time of their meet cute all the way through the book. I thought the pacing and journey of their relationship was perfect.

Erin Hawkins knows how to write the perfect steamy rom com scenes. Those were so well-written. I found myself feeling all of the emotions in whatever MCs head it was in at the time.

And the audiobook was so well done. I've heard such great things about Savannah Peachwood and I finally got to experience it for myself. She's extremely talented and I could feel every emotion she portrayed for Emma. Robert Hatchet is becoming one of my favorite male narrators. I feel like he really gets into the character and the story as well as the emotions.

I'm so glad I got to experience another book by Erin Hawkins. She is such a talented author. I cannot wait to read more.

Cute story

In my opinion, this book had an endearing quality. It didn't have a profound impact on me, but I genuinely enjoyed the story.

Emma and Griffin had great chemistry. There were a few steamy scenes throughout, which were sweet torture. But what really struck a chord with me was Griffin's sincerity and dedication to his younger sister. As for Emma, I found her completely adorable!

As I delved further into the story, I realized that this book is part of a collection of standalone novels that intertwine with one another. I've become deeply invested in Sophie's book, which is next!

Overall, this book was a sweet slow burn, a must-listen for those who enjoy accidental marriages.

The narration was up to par with the story!

Loved Griffin and Emma!

I, as expected, loved this book! Unexpectedly Mine by Erin Hawkins was a spicy and witty strangers to lovers, fake marriage romance that I devoured from start to finish! I seriously couldn’t get enough of Emma and Griffin and their whirlwind drunken Vegas marriage that of course turned into their very own swoony, heartfelt HEA!

Savannah Peachwood and Robert Hatchet performed this audiobook in dual narration. These two narrators paired together were sultry magic! Savannah embraced Emma’s vulnerabilities and desires in her performance perfectly! Plus, Robert was downright dreamy as Griffin conveying his charismatic and devoted personality which made him utterly irresistible. Both narrators created just the right amount of longing and sexual tension between Emma and Griffin that will make you never want to stop listening.

Overall, I LOVED this book! If you are a fan of a hot selfless male revue dancer/ soon-to-be lawyer, a passionate wedding dress designer, deep rooftop chats, lap dances, Vegas fake wedding, hangover orgasms, landing your dream job, supporting your sister, steamy bubble bath photo shoots, slow burn steamy times, putting yourself first, and a HEA that unexpectedly surprises your heart in the best ways, then you will love Griffin and Emma’s fake to forever story. I always look forward to more from Erin Hawkins.

Ready to press play again!

I’m a sucker for an accidental marriage trope and boy did this book deliver! Griffin, a male review dancer soon-to-be lawyer, and Emma, a wedding dress designer, meet on a rooftop in Las Vegas and before the night is over not only have they celebrated Emma’s birthday but they have gotten married.

Griffin is the dream husband who is willing to put his entire life on hold to help Emma get through an interview that could make or break her career.

This was definitely a slow burn, but once they caught fire it was combustible!

The narrators, Savannah Peachwood and Robert Hatchet, were paired perfectly. I was ready to listen again before the end of the epilogue.

Thank you to the Author and Another Notch Management for the opportunity to listen early!

Delightfully fun Oopsie wedding adventure!

Unexpectedly Mine definitely snuck up on me and took me on a romcom adventure that was full of fun with great plot twists, excellent witty banter, and enough steam between Emma and Griffin to have me grinning ear to ear. I thoroughly enjoyed how their relationship evolved and we got to know them as they got to know each other. This is my first book by Erin Hawkins and I will definitely be listening to more! Savannah Peachwood and Robert Hatchet were delightfully wonderful and I loved every moment of their performance. Such an adorably wonderful audiobook!

Hot and Spicy

Second time with this title. Read the paperback version first and was excited to find Erin Hawkins' books on Audible. Had to hear the book as well! I love the back and forth between the main characters and the sexual tension between the two...yowza! The performance was great and really brought the story to life. Can't wait to hear all of Erin's books! She is easily becoming one of my favorite authors.
