Publisher's summary

Recommended for ages 18+ due to adult content and language.

If you loved Forbidden, you're going to love Untouchable, this follow-up novella....

Untouchable.

That's what Raven was, and what she should've stayed.

Instead, I made a catastrophic mistake. I jumped into bed with my now future stepsister. To make matters worse, I discovered that she slept with me solely because of a bet.

I should hate her. Part of me does. But another part of me wants her more than I've wanted anyone - ever.

Now she's back in town. Everything I feel - anger, lust, desire - is all coming to the surface at full force.

I keep telling myself she's untouchable. But that's easier said than done when I have the devil on my shoulder telling me to forget about everything and everyone, and take what I want.

I'm the sex god of San Francisco. I get who I want...whenever I want them...no matter the consequences.

Linc and Raven

Untouchable is the second book in the Linc and Raven's story. Linc is upset when he would out that Raven slept with him based on a bet. Now that Raven returned for her mother's wedding with Linc's father, she is trying to explain to Linc about the bet.

When Raven returned after three months, Linc has been trying to forget her. He went from one one-night stand to another. The problem is that the attraction between Linc and Raven hasn't faze to their three months apart from each other. Instead their time apart, just intensify their attraction to each other. I love it when both finally recognize that they belong together except that their timing is all wrong.

Their story continues. There is a cliff-hanger and now that they are apart again. Linc is trying to make a name in the golfing world and Raven is trying to finish her degree. I can't wait to find out what happens next.

The narrator, Zachary Liebenstein is perfect to portray Linc's point of view. I love seeing Linc's dilemma of trying to stay away from Raven but can't because she is all he could think of. I love that the narrator adds so much feeling to Linc that the readers/listeners will believe that Linc is a likeable character despite his flaws.

I was given this audiobook by the narrator via Audiobook Blast in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated or influenced in any way for writing this review.

Read In Order For Possible 'Better' Experience

One of the more difficult things to do as a reviewer is to *agree to listen to a book (in exchange for a review) that is in the middle of the trilogy or series. This is the case with Unforgettable (part two)

Danielle Jamie does not give too much background as to what occurred in book one to let the reader know about the main characters in the circumstances. However, I was able to deduce that Lincoln & Raven have been attracted to one another. The only thing that is stopping them from pursuing a relationship romantic relationship is the fact that they're divorced parents are marrying one another which will make them step brother and stepsister.

Nevertheless, as the wedding day approaches they find a moment or two to steal away and talk about their non-– relationship. They lament that they will not be able to see one another excepted holiday family get-togethers because if anyone knows about them, they will automatically think that they are backwards, trash (one of the characters words, not mine) looking incestuous, even though they are not related by blood.

As I mentioned this is part of a series or trilogy, so there are a few minor but two very big cliffhangers at the end of this book.

*I was given a copy of this book in exchange for my thoughts, opinions & this review. While I am curious about one major role of revelation (okay, I expect it will become a major revelation.) I don't think that I will continue with the series. However, as I consider it longer – I may add them to my wish list.

The performance: It is very difficult for me to be a critic of a narrator's performance because I know how much work goes into this process. It is not a one time, read through the story and you're done situation. Hours and hours can go in and only a 10 minute section is pleasing to everyone's taste.

That being said, early on I knew Zachary Liebenstein was in trouble because he would say chest (like chess with an a), as in a "chaste" kiss. ZL was also very robotic in the performance. There wasn't much variance in the characters and that made it difficult for me to keep up. Perhaps, I am mistaken but very sadly I have to give the performance 2.5 stars.

Notes: Abit of strong language, and mature themes

Stars: Overall 3.5, Performance 2.5 and Story 3
Perhaps I could've given it a higher rating if I had read the first book 1st so that I knew what was going on.

Great story for any time👍🏼

"This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast."

The narrator is amazing! You feel the angst and every word is a roller coaster of emotions. Story made laugh, smile and jumpy with anticipation at every turn. Juicy too. Hooked <3 gotta check out for narrator and more from writer.

Getting Interesting!!

Any additional comments?

Things are certainly getting Interesting. I usually don't read books that have cliff hangers or several parts to them, but Danielle Jamie has definitely peaked my interest. The narrator was pretty good too. Zachary Liebenstein had a nice voice and spoke very clear. He held my attention throughout the book. I would listen to him again.

Great

This was a great continue to Raven and Linc's story. Danielle Jamie did a great job on Untouchable, the story had a great plot. It was filled with many emotions. Linc and Raven have been through a lot but no matter what they are going through, these two were made for each other, even though it's forbidden and untouchable.
Looking forward to listening to book 3.
Zachary Liebenstein did a great job on narrating this story. I enjoyed it.

Naughty, sexy drama

What did you love best about Untouchable: Linc & Raven #2?

Linc & Raven are too cute. Dancing around the inevitable, when they both know what's going to happen.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Linc's swagger is off the charts, and the inner struggle just keeps building until he's got no choice.

What aspect of Zachary Liebenstein’s performance would you have changed?

Zachary's phrasing is annoying. I am sure that the author did not use that many commas.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It wasn't my favorite genre, a little too taboo, but the story flowed well and there was enough drama to keep me listening.

Narration was cringe-worthy too many times

This was the first audio book that I've heard with this narrator. And it will be the last. The way he enunciated sentences was choppy and weird that it was distracting to the story. And the mispronunciation of common words seems sloppy by the narrator and sound editor? It's terrible to hear vineyard spoken as "vine" + "yard", or chaste pronounced to rhyme with cast?!
