The main character is fun to follow and shake your head at his antics. Sometimes he's a bit more childish than I would expect, but overall an enjoyable character. The world building has many unexplored threads that are pretty exciting. The side characters all have their own flavor. Overall, an enjoyable read

I enjoyed Jake's high octane storyline. We get to learn more about the system as it relates to Jake and the heights of power. However, the story was greatly diminished by side stories about random system initiates who had no prior connection to Jake. I care about the main character and the things that affect the main character. If you want to show these parts of the story, then relate them to the MC. Ideally I wouldn't be changing character perspectives and would just encounter whatever universe expanding lore through the MC. Without any investment in these characters, I have no reason to care about these stories or even know what information I should be picking up from them.

These books were action packed and filled with drama. You got to see Art's actions from the perspective of other characters. Not a rehash of his actions from previous books, but an examination of his current actions from the people he is interacting with. These characters tend to be bring a fresh and interesting viewpoint and let you get more context from the world at the same time.

The story had potential, but it read like male romance novel. The story was shallow and the relationships we're not believable. There wasn't much character growth and the sex was just gratuitous.

Forewarning- I only listened to chapter 3.

This book spends the first two chapters telling you how the author came to change their life from a too cool non believer to a spiritual badass. It all seemed too forced and there was almost no actionable material. The kicker was when the author started going on how they converted to spiritualism which is great and all, but I seriously don't want to hear about it. That was when I actively started disliking the book. At the same time the author talked about how they went to country bars ironically, and I just decided it was too much for me. So if those sound like dealbreakers to you don't buy this.

The narrator was excellent. The story was both captivating and extremely cliché. The characters were relatable and intriguing. It was impossible for someone like me not imagine myself traveling in this rich and immersive tale. It was a mix of nostalgia and futuristic imaginings that nearly everyone can enjoy.

Let me just start off by saying that the content of this book is amazing! I've never learned so many lessons from fictional story before.
Mr. Miya-err Eric is a mysterious old man that teaches Bill our protagonist IT leader what he needs to truly turn his catastrophe of a company around. I listened to this in a couple of days, I just couldn't wait for the next Aha! moment. There were times when the book felt a bit predictable, but overall it was a wonderful surprise.
