Not a good standalone

Yes- this story can be read as a stand alone. Doesn’t mean it should. I bought this because
A. It was on sale
B. Teddy Hamilton
C. Glancing, the reviews were good.
However- it’s basically just a backstory. If you haven’t read the other 13 books, this one is just “meh.” Not much of a story.
Teddy Hamilton was fantastic. Female narrator was ok. Glad I didn’t use a credit.

Joe and Erin did a FANTASTIC job narrating, and this story was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. HOWEVER. If you know anything about doctor life, medical school, residency, etc- SKIP THIS BOOK. It nearly ruined it for me. I met my husband in undergrad, and now he’s halfway thru his residency. The basis of this story (her residency accepted too many first years?) would NEVER happen. And why does she have a locker at the hospital if “residency hasn’t started yet”? It just made me cringe. I fully understand that liberties must be taken, but this just completely ignored pretty much everything.
