Hunger Games meets paranormal and PASSION!!
Reviewed: 01-19-25
LOOOVVEEDD this book!!! Wasn't sure if I was going to like this book as romantasy has never been my thing, but it was recommended to me so I decided to give it a shot. I ended up loving it and recommending it to others. If you love steamy romance, Hunger Games-esque trials, and have a curiosity or passion for the paranormal, THIS is the book for you!

Nora Stephens' life is books—she’s read them all—and she is not that type of heroine. Not the plucky one, not the laidback dream girl, and especially not the sweetheart. In fact, the only people Nora is a heroine for are her clients, for whom she lands enormous deals as a cutthroat literary agent, and her beloved little sister Libby.

Book Lovers is definitely different than Emily Henry's other novels. I started off really not liking the main character, Nora, however I think that's the whole point of the book. Everybody belongs to somewhere and someone. Not my favorite of Emily Henry's books, but I definitely grew fond of it by the end.

No visitors. No nights spent away from the apartment. No disturbing the other residents, all of whom are rich or famous or both. These are the only rules for Jules Larsen’s new job as an apartment sitter at the Bartholomew, one of Manhattan's most high-profile and mysterious buildings. As she gets to know the residents and staff of the Bartholomew, Jules finds herself drawn to fellow apartment sitter Ingrid. When Ingrid confides that the Bartholomew is not what it seems, Jules brushes it off as a harmless ghost story...until the next day, when Ingrid disappears.

Loved this book so much that I finished it within a few days, went straight to the store to buy the physical copy, and am now going to force others to read it!! Poppy and Alex are such lovable and relatable characters, and their humor is much like what I have with my very best friends. This book genuinely made me laugh out loud multiple times, and I didnt care who heard. Nothing else matters in the world when you are traveling and in the moment with these wonderful characters. My favorite read of the summer so far!

The author of the best seller Call Me by Your Name revisits its beguiling characters decades after their first meeting. In Find Me, Aciman shows us Elio’s father, Samuel, on a trip from Florence to Rome to visit Elio, who has become a gifted classical pianist. A chance encounter on the train with a beautiful young woman upends Sami’s plans and changes his life forever. Elio soon moves to Paris, where he, too, has a consequential affair, while Oliver, now a New England college professor with a family, finds himself contemplating a return trip across the Atlantic.

Reviewed: 01-17-21
Loved this book!! It was confusing at first because of how fluidly it would switch between different characters (and still the same voice actor), but once I got into the book it was easier to know who's head I was in. This book kept me hooked till the end with it's twisty plot!

Loved the 2 main characters neither of which I felt were whiney. All the characters in this book felt very human and relatable.
